2013 - James Kirkland vs Curtis Stevens

At 160lbs what a war that could/would have been! In retrospect I would definitely pick Kirkland by KO but Stevens did start his career heavier at LH and was dangerous before the GGG fight as was Kirkland when he beat Glen Tapia.

Interesting matchup. I feel like Kirkland is the more explosive offensive fighter when he's at his best, and I feel like Curtis Stevens is the tougher of the two by a little bit.

So what wins out? Kirkland's superior offense or Stevens superior toughness?

I'd lean toward Curt's toughness I think. Because he wasn't too shabby on the offensive end himself, and I think he'd take Kirkland's shots better than Kirkland would take his.

Damn good matchup though I must say.
