Anybody got any info on heavyweight Doug Coleman who was a protege of actor Edgar Kennedy back in the 30's? He has one recorded bout in 1938, a draw with Pat McCurdy in California. Did he suddenly change his mind about being a boxer? Weren't that many great opportunities in the latter part of the Dirty Thirties.
