Johnny Galluzzo had a great career in boxing winning the Australian light middleweight championship by defeating Billy Choules. I worked in Johnny’s corner the night he beat tough as nails Eddie Dawson. Galluzzo later went to Europe where he worked as a sparring partner to the great Carlos
Monzon. John worked as a bouncer at the Local Inn hotel in the 1970’s. He later became a successful businessman owning European Car Hire company at Drummoyne. I often would see him at Sydney International airport picking up clients when I was travelling overseas on a regular basis
