Re: Ryan Garcia vs. Manny Pacquiao
Wild if true.
If it does happen the weight limit is fascinating. They probably actualy weigh about the same to be honest, but manny is use to fighting 147s... Ryan use to fighting 135s, that’s a big gap.

Manny usually weighs around 142-144 for most of his WW fights anyway.gregregegg wrote: ↑24 Jan 2021, 20:07 Wild if true.

If there isn't a date on there you have to take it with a pinch of salt, surely?
I hear reports of it happening in September.
Smart money is on him fighting again before September.
In which case he's gone from basically promising people the tank fight, to a legend to what will more than likely be a tune up.
That ain't the way to make fans bro.

A layoff until September would crush Pacquiao. Its too long for an old guy with his mileage to be inactive.
If Pacquiao faces anyone with a pulse hes going to lose

Re: Ryan Garcia vs. Manny Pacquiao
not so sure garcia really deserves a big money ppv like that ...
but at least its the pacman vs a boxer rather than a you tube curiosity or even the wankpot mma clown known as mctapper

This is a typical passing of the torch fight like Marciano v Louis, only even worse than that as Joe was 37 at the time.
Joe, for his trouble did get 3 times what Marciano was paid. Can Manny do the same?
Manny will obviously lose and Garcia will be proclaimed as the new p4p No1, or thereabouts.
Garcia, with a win over Pacquiao, will be the new cash cow after Canelo can no longer avoid rigorous testing.
Shameless profiteering with very little to do with sport.
If Garcia had any respect for the sport he would have no interest in fighting a 42 year old war horse like Pacquiao.
Oh well, he can always apologize afterwards like Rocky did!

Because of your great respect for the sport you'd say no to millions of dollars.Thomastearns wrote: ↑25 Jan 2021, 14:01 Shameless profiteering with very little to do with sport.

Re: Ryan Garcia vs. Manny Pacquiao
People rag on Ryan Garcia for having 7m teenybopper instagram followers and saying he's a pretty boy and that he does this or does that...maybe some of you forget boxing is a BUSINESS. What other fighters out there besides Teofimo Lopez are calling out bigger and better fights for themselves and actively doing something about it? Haney and Tank are according to you guys fighting guys naturally smaller or much older than them. quick paydays i guess. Like i said, it's a business. Shawn Porter is saying no to 1m to fight Terrance Crawford...that's a lot of dough to pass up on but i get it, it's the principle. He's worth more to fight Crawford. I digress...Garcia will make his biggest payday to date fighting Pacman. Manny's only got maybe 2, possibly 3 fights left...I'm sure every fighter within 10-15 lbs of Manny would do anything for this fight but they're not...Ryan did and whether he gets ko'd or not, like one of you said, it's a passing of the torch kinda fight...he's doing what is best for himself, his family, and Manny knows that a lot of the 7m followers will watch this fight.

2 years is an eternity for a guy as old and as many miles as manny. His reflexes are going to be really slow and timing it going to be way off.
Re: Ryan Garcia vs. Manny Pacquiao
Now this is really really stupid...
The sport is losing legitimacy by the minute.
Re: Ryan Garcia vs. Manny Pacquiao
reminds me of khan v Barrera, though i think pac man has life still in him, i see ryan hurting pac man and ko him , garcia aint stopping till he is a 3 weight world champ
