Rivalries of three or more fights that ended all square/tied
Rivalries of three or more fights that ended all square/tied
I'm struggling to come up with any but can't help think that surely there was a fairly well-known trilogy that featured a draw and a win apiece or a quadrilogy that ended two-two.
Anyone?
Anyone?

Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazquez ended 2-2
Official Pac vs Marquez is 2-1-1 for Pac, but it should be 2-2.
Ruiz vs Holyfield though it's a boring rivalry are 1-1-1.

There's bound to be others. These are just some from the past 20 years that come to mind. There's surely several more I've forgotten or just never knew about in the first place.

The most famous one to my mind is Jersey Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles...
After 4 fights (all for the World Championship) the series ended at 2-2.

Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward's has a real mixed bag. The 1st and 3rd fights had mixed scoring from fans... Personally I had it 2-1 to Gatti...
But i wouldn't have minded a 1-1-1, to end it even... In saying that, knowing those two crazy mofos would just go and do it again... They blitzed the head off each other...
The real winners were the fans.

Tommy Loughran-Arturo Godoy 1-1-1 in ‘34 and ‘35.

For the record I had Gatti winning all 3 fights, including the 1st one, but I don't think there's any doubt that Ward did more damage in the rounds he won so I have no issue with him getting the decision.Crease wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021, 15:03 Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward's has a real mixed bag. I thought he won the 2nd and 3rd fights clear as day. Ward gave a better effort in the 3rd bout than he had given in the 2nd, but to have scored that a draw or anything other than a win for Gatti would've just been wrong.
For the record I think Barrera vs Morales probably should be 1-1-1 though.

Henry Armstrong-Willie Joyce. 2-2

Overrated trilogy, the first fight was immense, it was also the only close one IMO. I had it 3-0 gattil.Crease wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021, 15:03 Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward's has a real mixed bag. The 1st and 3rd fights had mixed scoring from fans... Personally I had it 2-1 to Gatti...

Britton and Lewis were close to square but I think jack edged it like 9-8-3

You are entitled to your opinion, sir. I don't mind the trilogy getting well praised, them guys put it all on the line against each other. I respect fighters like that.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021, 20:15Overrated trilogy, the first fight was immense, it was also the only close one IMO. I had it 3-0 gattil.

I didn't mean to come off disrespectful. The second and third fights didn't suck, but they fell way short of the first.Crease wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021, 20:26You are entitled to your opinion, sir. Yeah, another terrific series...
I haven't watched them in a very long while... I might sit down and watch them again... Wouldn't be a bad way to kill a couple of hours... I'm pretty sure I scored it 2-1 dor Barrera.

It's all good... We're true boxing fans, we love the sport - there's no point on agreeing with everything..Onetimeonly wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021, 20:29I didn't mean to come off disrespectful. The second and third fights didn't suck, but they fell way short of the first.

Yeah the 2nd fight was like 8 rounds to 2, and the 3rd fight was 7 rounds to 3, but made a little closer by Ward scoring a knockdown.

That's a good call.
It is amazing that there doesn't seem to be that many.

I thought Vazquez won the 3rd fight fairly. It was the best of the series. Officially they're 2-2. None of the fights were controversial to me.
Vazquez was a little too shopworn for the 4th one though.
