Marvis Frazier amatuer record
I saw live Frazier against Big John Owens at the Blue Horizon. He got a gift that night. He was a novice. Would have been a good cruiser. Trained so hard Georgie Benton had to tell him to go home. Was a standout through 9th grade at PW in all sports including wrestling. His dad should never had let him into boxing. But Joe always had his eyes on that big dollar. As soon as Marvis turned pro with MSG of all places, he and James Shuler, 25 grand came Joe's way and all of a sudden he had a new bar called Smokin Joe's on City Line Ave outside of Philly til it burned down.
