Canelo vs Crawford

Post by AngryGoon38 »

This is the fight I want to see after Canelo beats Saunders . I want to see Crawford move up and take on Canelo. That is what the boxing World needs.

I believe it'd be fight of the year,at the very least.
I think it'd definitely go at least 10 rounds of non-stop intensely riveting edge of the seat action personified. Keep in mind,Crawford only needs to weigh-in at 161. I don't think they'd let him out there if he's only 160-1/2.

Don’t think canelo is ever going 160 again, doubt he will ever go catchweight even, he is the money man and his body is good at 168, you wanna fight him go to that weight. And Crawford can’t compete with him at 168. If craw wants to try with the big boys he should fight a charlo or triple G.
But realy he just needs to accept he is the b side and fight Spence.

Yeah, No, I wasn't implying that Canelo should drop down to 160 or catchweight. Crawford only needs to weigh-in at 161 to be a legit sized smw.

Personally I'd prefer to see Spence vs Canelo, as he is physically bigger, stronger, taller, and also very skilled. I remember him saying he would move up to fight Canelo when Canelo was at 160, but I guess a lot of boxers would for big money.

So this thread is about a former lightweight, currently campaigning at welterweight, fighting a super-middleweight that recently held a legitimate world title at light heavyweight? :-?

Why don’t we go the whole hog and discuss a fight between the 5’1” 105lbs Thammanoon Niyomtrong and the 6’9” 275lbs Tyson Fury?

What the heck? Anything clearly goes nowadays, doesn’t it?

I'm sure he meant Spence bigger than Craw.

Crawford/Taylor is the best reasonable option. Though I shouldn't sell Ramirez short. That fight has some Valdez/berchelt to it, but the winner in the fall is what bud should be hoping for.

Yes, I meant Crawford. I think Spence is about 2" taller than both Crawford and Canelo, not that it matters.

You guys are expecting way too much of Crawford. He don't even want the big fights in his own weight class.

again 'too big and strong'.

boxing isn't weightlifting or bodybuilding, crawford and canelo are the same height (if it would matter). crawford's reach is longer which matters very much in boxing. crawford is way faster on his feet as well with his fists.

they won't ever meet. hypothetically i don't see canelo giving crawford too much trouble.

 you're joking right? Canelo is trouble for anyone right now, yet a guy currently 3 divisions below him would handle him with no trouble? The same Crawford that was rocked and unofficially dropped by "mean machine" and hasn't beaten a top 5 guy in his own division? Come on man stop talking outta your ass. 😂

If you think Crawford can beat canelo then surely you back him against every 147, 154, 160,168 and probably every 175.. now if Crawford can clean out all those divisions then it’s pretty disappointing he hasn’t fought a good welter, hardly beat any beasts at 140 either...
so yea your assessment ability compared to actual wins paints a disappointing picture.

Naw. They're fighting 3 divisions apart; and Alvarez has already beat the champion four divisions above Crawford.

IMO, Alvarez should focus on becoming a undisputed champ at 168. If not, then Beterbiev and Bivol are waiting for him at 175. Or perhaps Charlo / Munguia / Andrade could be an opponent.
