Autographs

Post by prewarboxing »

Does anybody on here know much about the value of boxers autographs? I am talking mainly about fighters from the 1930s, both US and UK.

Ok, this thread seems to be going nowhere so I will add a little bit more info.

Is an autograph of Young Stribling, and his father Pa Stribling, likely to be worth anything? He died in 1933 and so there may not be that many about.

How about Jack Blackburn and John Roxborough, trainer and manager of Joe Louis.

Benny Lynch?

100% rock solid provenance.

Hi Miles

I would try the guys at Boxingtreasures.com as a start. autographcollection.co.uk previously had a young stribling autograph that sold, so definitely them also. Ebay is also worth looking at, where I have sold lots of Boxing Memorabilia when I needed funds. Like anything it's generally worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Hope this helps
