fedosov himself was on a roll in his career a few years back and got put on the sides by management issues rather than any shortcomings of his own

hopefully this springs him back

Majidov. Was he expected to win this (i guess)?

Looked a bit "soft".

Just registered to DAZN. About 2 pounds a month!

ya he was , former 3x world am champ, conqueror of aj, etc......vs a guy who had been out 2 years and was seen as solid and a big step up, but defo underdog. its more the nature of the loss that's shocking though

fedosov as i mentioned was at a high point in his career before managment issues took him out, hope someone signs him up and gets him busy again! fun fighter

Not sure he has enough years to come back from that and get too high in the rankings. Leg injury might put him out for a while aswell. Hopefully Majidov is willing to take some interesting fights now he has lost his 0...

Wow, well done, Fedosov is a tough fella. Some was calling him the Russian Tua. Well, obviously he hasn't reached Tua's level, but still he can upset prospects.

Majidov is 34 and he lost by the 1st round KO. It sounds like a retirement opportunity. :OhYes:

He definitely should have turned pro before he did. It was a superb shot from Fedosov that would have tested any chin. The injury is likely to take time to mend which is ironic timing. Maj was fighting about once a year but having signed to Dazn was probably expecting his schedule to increase dramatically.

Shame really. Prior to catching that right hand, Maj showed a very impressive looking jab that had some real force behind it. I hope he can come back as he can be in interesting fights (like that one)

I was pleased to see Fedosov return to the ring. He was one of two Russian heavyweights I've been hoping would make a comeback. Neither are likely to impact the world title scene, but both are international level. The other is Vyacheslav "Czar" Glaskov last seen losing on injury (dislocated knee) to Charles Martin in their 2016 vacant IBF heavyweight title fight. He's probably about 36 now though so I think that ship has sailed.

Actually make that three. Rostislav Pletchko hasn't fought since 2018. He was 9 and 0 with no opponent hearing the bell to start round 2. I'd like to have seen him fight Alen Babic. That would be explosive but I'd favour Pletchko who would have the physical advantages, not that the physical advantages have helped Babic's previous victims.

ya the jab was looking nice and powerful , i like feddy so am happy for him, but at the same time it kinda sucks to have a majidov pretty much out of the picture now

Majidov is another 30+ y.o. prospect, it seems to be quite often today. Probably he wouldn't become something in any case.

Fedosov will ice Webb.

Fedosov-Babic is a hot matchup. Hopefully Eddeh makes it, as both are now under his wing.

Yes it does suck. Majidov was a top amateur. He left it far too long but I was hopeful that with powerful backing he would be on course for a fast rise up the rankings. I did think Fedosov was a risk, but not one Majidov would fail to overcome. It's a big set-back to a man who was already running low on time. I don't think it means Majidov is finished necessarily because most fighters would be laid out by a shot of that force landing flush, but I just hope Eddie looks at it the same way.

Nick Webb had a terrific win over Pfeifer but I still don't have much faith in him. Whenever I get a bit cocky and start thinking "I'm pretty good at this predicting lark, maybe I should back my judgement with hard cash" something like Webb/ Pfeifer comes along to remind me why I'm not a betting man. I really don't see him beating Fedosov but then I didn't think he'd beat Pfeifer either.

Babic against Fedosov would be a good fight. I think Fedosov might be asking too much of Babic but I had similar doubts when he faced Winters, Kennedy and Little. He is going to struggle though when he faces someone who is going to be reluctant to fall over and I think Fedosov fits the description.

Majidov (because of his age) was in a pro career rush. That's understandable. However, his management was very unwise to put him in the ring with Fedosov who had a 7-0 winning (with 6 KO's) streak coming in. It's not like Fedosov was on a downtrend in his career. I was kind of flabbergasted when I heard the betting odds.

On the other hand, Fedosov was inactive.
