Prime Benny Briscoe vs. a prime Tommy Hearns?

A prime Benny Briscoe vs. a prime Tommy Hearns?

I would say that Benny had WAY greater chin strength and a threshold of pain such as what Tommy Hearns had. But, I would state that Tommy may have had a bit more punching power.

What do you see happening in this fight?

Who would win? Why?

Please explain.

Hearns had a much higher level of skillset. Briscoe had only chances of catching Hearns' shaky chin.

Hearns would outbox Briscoe wide behind the jab, right hands, movement. Briscoe was very tough and likely to stand his ground though.

So, I'd pick Hearns by wide UD.

I concur and Hearns would not do the same mistake with "Bad" Bennie by exchanging bombs like the Hitman did with the late great Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Hearns would him out-boxing "Bad" Bennie behind his quick left jabs, right hands and combinations on the outside to take a decision.

The safe bet is Hearns by UD but you just never knew with Benny. Not sure Hearns would stand up as well to some of the punches Monzon took, but maybe he’d have been able to get out of the way
