Personally-speaking, I feel that Oleksandr Usyk hasn't achieved enough at heavyweight to earn a shot at the title.

He was only instated as the WBO's mandatory challenger for AJ's title due to their silly 'super-champion' rule.

He's an official mandatory challenger due to a technicality in the rule-book, rather than merit (at least not at heavyweight anyway).

Whyte by a country mile. Usyk is only up there if you consider his cruiser wins.

Honestly at this point until Fury and Joshua fight each other I don't give a damn to see anyone get a shot at either of 'em.

whyte, usyk, paul

ppl saying usyk isnt deserving, but compare him to the rest of the division....wins over chisora and hunter are pretty good relatively speaking and he hasnt gotten a hw shot yet

Whyte was at the front of the queue until he got knocked back by Povetkin, that's been settled and he can take his place behind Usyk. Joyce I would put 3rd in line.
Ideally Whyte and Joyce should fight for that #2 contender spot behind Usyk.
Usyk being the undisputed undefeated CW champ should get a shot, it's been like that no matter the weight class for a champ stepping up.
IMO Usyk has waited the longest, it was Whyte until the loss, so for me Usyk tops the list.

Whyte by a long ways. He is rightfully an interim WBC HW Champion. Usyk may be in line but he hasn't done anything at HW of note. Even as it is he is a mandatory challenger. That doesn't rank with an interim HW champion.

The 3 have to sort all the trilogy crap out and actually get some of those fights done. I don't care which 2 it is as long as Fury is one of them as he is the man among all the men until somebody beats him.

During the big 3 sorting out their trilogy messes Hearn should make Usyk vs White and also pay them some kind of money for dropping out of the way of the other 3 guys. If Usyk wins and Hunter wins again they need a HW match. If Whyte wins and Andy Ruiz can snatch a victory that would be a good next outing for him. Any underman coming out of these 4 would be a great challenger for whoever remains of the big 3 when the dust clears.

ITs 100% whyte or Usky. depends on your viewpoint.
Id say whyte, he surely has one of the best heavyweight resumes to have never had a title shot (at least in the 4 belt era).
Usyk it depends how much you credit his cruiser move up. i think he deserves a shot, but he at least has already been rewarded with for his cruiser weight work becoming undisputed so its not so crazy that he hasnt had a heavyweight shot yet.

The only truly deserving heavyweight who has earned his shot is Dillian. Joyce is looking good but still has more to prove. I personally don't believe belt holders of other weight divisions (Usyk) should be able to just switch and get ranked above other fighters who have worked their whole career in a division to just get pushed out of the way. Usyk should earn his place at heavyweight like everyone else

usyk's beaten chisora and hunter, why do so many ppl act likee that means nothing....seriously take a look at what the other guys in the division have been doing. its not exactly much. and take a look at what previous challengers/belt holders had done at the time they got their shots....again , not much

chisora and hunter puts him pretty high up there, esp considering he hasnt gotten a shot yet

btw....look at briedis beating perez (former top 20 hw) and charr (top 50), huck giving absolute hell to povetkin. etc. ...even a past prime cunningham beat mansour , dropped fury on his ass, and shouldve gotten the w vs glazkov. then he moved back down to cruiser and got dropped 4x by glowacki. and remember chambers getting schooled by mchunu?

beating the top cruisers shouldnt be totally discounted at hw, the elite cruisers would all be fringe hw contenders at worst

I agree that both Joyce and Usyk still have something to prove, but they're both obviously good fighters. That's why they should both get it on, although I don't think Usyk really fancies it (Like David Haye, he's going to have to work very hard against modern day behemoths and will fight heavyweights around about his size unless he really has to)and I wouldn't mind either of them clearing some dead wood from the top 10 of the division before finally meeting, as I think they're going to stick to their guns with keeping the first Fury Joshua fight for all the marbles before dropping belts for the rematch. Maybe face off against the winners of Parker-Chisora and Hunter-Hrgovic, seeing as they're all ranked by the WBO (apart from Chis, but should he pull the upset I guess he'd be in there). That would be a great double header for an event, but it won't happen. They'd all want enormous paydays out of that.

Wilder-Whyte doesn't have a belt on the line, but who doesn't want to see that? I don't know why Wilder doesn't just make his come-back against 'WBA Champion' Bryan? He's WBA ranked and Bryan offers no threat at all. I'd say Whyte should bang out Bryan very easily, but he's not even top 15 on their list! Bogdan Dinu is number 2! If Wilder was a 'king' again, then it would make the Whyte fight bigger.
