02:04 Hamed pins McGovern in the corner! 16:8
02:04 Hamed lands the jab but comes up short with a second one right behind it. 18:8
02:04 Hamed is raining blows down on McGovern, who is obviously hurt. Naseem Hamed wants to take the decision out of the hands of the judges and he has a chance to do just that! 18:8
02:18 You would think McGovern had a brick wall built aroud his midsection as futile as Hamed looked trying to score there! 18:8
02:25 McGovern backs into the near corner. 18:8
02:25 Hamed lands a lead left to the midsection. 21:8
02:25 Hamed is like a human windmill as he tries to take advantage of McGovern's condition and end the fight! 21:8
02:38 Hamed drops the right hand flush on McGovern's chin! 25:8
02:38 That punch may have stunned McGovern momentarily. 25:8
02:43 Terry McGovern is all heart and that's the only thing keeping him on his feet because he doesn't appear to have anything left. Don't be surprised if Santore ends this fight soon. 25:8
02:47 Both boxers are in the middle of the squared circle. 25:8
02:51 Hamed catches McGovern coming in with a sweet uppercut! 30:8
02:51 McGovern is badly hurt! 30:8
02:51 And now it appears as if McGovern's cut has been reopened by one of those punches that landed. 30:8
02:51 Additional punishment has caused the cut on the right eyebrow of McGovern to reopen and a stream of blood is trickling down his face. 30:8
02:51 * McGovern seems to be having some difficulty seeing. It's not that he's bleeding all that badly but the location of the cut - over the eye - makes it a bit more serious. And talk about timing, the referee has stepped in and momentarily stopped the fight. He's looking at the cut above McGovern's eye and is now leading him toward the ringside physician. 30:8
02:51 * The doctor is peering at the wound and he's shrugged his shoulders and he's shaking his head - is that a good thing or bad? Well, it's good from McGovern's perspective and the cheer that arises from the crowd tells us all we need to know: there's going to be more fisticuffs in just a moment. Obviously, the damage isn't that bad and McGovern and Hamed await the signal from the referee to commence firing. The fight resumes here in Round 9. 30:8
02:56 * And it's over!!! Santorejumps in and wraps his arms around McGovern!! The winner by TKO at the 02:57 in round 9 Hamed!! 30:8

Looks like Jem puts the Kabosh on the IBO train. Much respect....and the matchup was happenstance.
Now technically the IBO could choose to simply randomly annoint another champion.....keep JMM as champ, or do a tourney in real time. They are their own rule makers.
Driscoll of course does not accept this belt. His trophy case has no vacancy.
But this is what happens when a Jake Paul organization runs into the real world. We of course apologize for the outing of your organization in such a brutal manner and look forward to more entertaining events from your fine organization in the future.
As for Kevo.....last week Ramos was "fighting too often" This week he is "badly overweight. Who's running the place?
Congrats to Hamed of course for keeping a tight hold on the IBF. Chacon will be around soon enough to relieve you of such responsibilities. Once he finishes his 12 step program in the wake of his recent bouts with Chavez and Amaretto.

Hamed is better than McGovern with another big stoppage win against him. Somewhat surprising.
JMM was probably on his way to a loss, but it was still close. Tough way to go out.
I figured Olivares might be the cpu to advance. So far, so good.

Tough couple of weeks for my guys. Ah well.
At the risk of being the guy who spots problems and causes headaches every week, for some reason McGovern and Hamed's fight from last week didn't register on their records this week:

I am aware...and apologize. I have a plan for 100% capture for next season.....but for this season it does take being one step ahead of this software. I'm willing to get into the weeds and solve it.. for the rest of the season but it takes much time...I have to save with every card....and then save again to be 100% on this........because for some damn reason on rare occasion when there is too much in the memory it falls short.
It's been a nominal problem thus far...and I don't believe it has had a significant impact. If you show less than 17 events for your fighter you were affected. However I have been able to publish the logs of every fight without a single issue. So all fights have historical back up here on this thread. With the possible exception of those logs I have not published between CPU fighters.
The "Inabagski" issue was centered around having "generic" vs "random" selected for the "card creator".
I'm convinced these issues are what happened before when we had to stop mid season, I think it just got to be too much for a former commish to deal with.
I am at least mildy concerned that as the file gets bigger...the problems may get bigger. But I'm not certain what group of files TB uses to collect all the info. So I can't effectively do a "double file back up". I'm not overly gifted tech wise...but I'm not bad for a boomer.

A spirited effort from JMM and a shame the fight ended via injury but the better man won on the night, congratulations to Jem.

Great start for Hamed, another KO win over the tough McGovern.
Ramos again providing a tougher test than I thought he would, but he just can’t cut it against the top boys.
