Either Charles by dec or Dempsey by stoppage. Charles was a clearly more advanced boxer, but he was vulnerable enough for such relentless aggressor like Dempsey.

Knowing how Dempsey struggled against George Carpentier, a glorified, small, badly conditionned and wrist-injured light-heavyweight before of course losing 19 rounds against Gene Tunney. I really can't give him most a chance against Ezzard Charles, especially with modern rules. But hey he's Jack Dempsey of course he's got a puncher chance and remembering the Marciano-Charles also helps even if Rocky won both fights moslty due to his legendary stamina, something Dempsey lacked a little bit of sadly.

To be fair to Dempsey, he had not fought for three years when he fought Tunney the first time. He was past his best by then. Charles lost to Rex Layne and Nino Valdes. I think this is an intriguing fight. Dempsey was of course a pressure fighter, but he could box. Charles was a stylish fighter, but he could slug it out as well. You might have seen a little bit of everything in this fight. Guess I would lean towards Dempsey to win more often than not.
