What does AJ do

Post by coneye »

What should AJ do now ,, on the one hand he's been training for Fury , set for Fury doing his work and sparring preparing for fury ,, now he's ordered to fight a smaller completly different type of boxer ,

So what does he do, last time he switched opponents without preperation he got beat,,, does he go ahead , and risk it ,,, Or does he vacate ,,, personaly i think he should take it with conditions he does;nt fight till late August or early to mid sept , giving himself full time to prepare for a diferent fighter .

If he vacates , Usyk becomes champ . and the Wilder -Fury winner will go for a Usyk fight and leave AJ in the cold ,,, For me he has to take it , but change the terms of when it is

fight usyk.....people think usyk's better than he is. it's actually good risk-reward in terms of credibility

aj wins that for sure, and it would be a win over one of the top contenders to help spice up/keep interest in a fury or wiler fight

despite the size difference between usyk and fury, there are things they have in common, like good movement etc.

Usyk is going to make him look very silly and beat him clearly which the team probably understand. Tough position to be in. He has to take the fight and hope he catches Oleksandr with something.

To kill Wilder and to fight Fury.

If not, then to fight Usyk.

If not, then to kill himself.

Usyk is insanely overhyped for me.

100% agree. It’s a good fight, give himself a bit longer to prep for it and I think he beats Usyk.

Liston Like Jab wrote: 29 May 2021, 07:20 If Usyk goes to purse bids, Triller could potentially outbid Eddie and Usyk's people. Unlikely, but not impossible. IMO AJ would vacate if Eddie didn't have control of the promotion.
Id be surprised if Eddie let’s it get to purse bids but I’d also be surprised if Triller go super hard for it. Neither AJ or Usyk are massive names in the States (albeit AJ would bring eyeballs given he’s got 3 belts) and it’ll be harder to get a profit on a PPV when they’d have to pay something like $40m for the fight. Both the Tyson PPV and Paul shows would have had much lower upfront costs - as had the Lopez fight coming up.

So have I, but I still think he’s overhyped. Just don’t see him having the impact against the top heavies that others do.

According to Hearn the Fury fight was ON for May, June, July and then August. Now the talk is AJ isn't ready until September. Perhaps he needs some more overseas "bulking" before contracts are signed.

Or perhaps he needs to start training for a tricky southpaw.

Take the Usyk fight, AJ will win it comfortably, by stoppage, inside 6.
