He was good but not elite, surely Barerra sealed his fate and legacy.
Although Hamed v Barerra was a big fight, especially to UK fans, it turned out to be a routine win for Marco. Just another good world class boxer added to his amazing win column.
Mayweather was another step up from MAB, so the maths don't augur well for Hamed.

If you believe Naz's version of events in training leading up to fight Barrera he done well to last the distance. I think his ego got far too big and he thought he was invincible but saying that his hands down style wasn't as effective as he fought better opponents.

I think you're being very harsh lol. He beat Tom Johnson for IBF, not Hardy. But beat many good fighters, though a lot were past their best. Is he a wanker? Hamed was very simple to hit with an overhand right because he simply leaned back from the waist! So feint, step in and throw it and you’ve hit him with double impact. Most were too scared or too short until he fought better.

He was a product of the Sports Network / WBO era, when cherry picking and carrot dangling was the norm. Us fans got continuosly milked. Thats why it was so refreshing when Froch came along and showed how it really should be done. Josh Taylor is treading a similar path, and he is only getting started, so great to see.
