Is Gervonta as hard as they say he is ?

Gervonta Davis, Is he a badass raw skilled boxer like they say he is ?
Can he get to that elite level where you think no one can beat him ?

yes he's a badass, he's at a level where only a couple guys from 130-140 have a shot of beating him

he needs to step up and beat an elite opponent though if he wants to be dat megastar p4p #1 type of dude his older lover floyd was

-Elite at 130, I think only loma (50-50)and the scales can beat him there… shakur might give it a nudge too I guess, but would have to put on a clinic.

-Great at 135, mabey better than great but so far his power hasn’t exactly carried (at least not proven). Think he is 50-50 with loma and teo, slightly ahead of Haney and Ryan Garcia mabey 60-40 or 70-30… beats the rest.

-good at 140, good not great, have him as an underdog vs a couple of 140s. 50-50 with a fair few more. And beats anyone outside of the top 10.

This is my guess, however I can’t see it being proven any time soon, my guess is he fights rollo, (140 or 135 I don’t know which)

First let's see him vs guys like Loma, Lopez, Haney, Taylor or Valdez to see for real how good he is.

Floyd has already made it clear he wants his son sipping soy decaf lattès.

Floyd Sr used to brag about Haney handing Tanks ass to him in sparring.

One thing I'm sure of though is Tank is better off at 135 than 140 due to his size. I actually think Loma would school him, could be wrong though.

I like watching Tank, but have to admit after 8 years as a pro his resume is pretty shit.

his resume isnt sh1T, there are some decent fighters, but for a guy who is supposed to be p4p supserstar level, he's in need of an elite fighter on his record. so far he has beaten solid guys, but no real top dawg contenders at any weight

he should stop cherry picking at different weights and instead settle down and go for a top guy somewhere

taylors resme is basically the opposite , instead of jumping from weight to weight cherrypicking solid but not particularly impressive opponents, he's stayed some place his whole career and focused on beating the very best and cleaning it out. that's the classic way, tank's way is more the modern way made possible only by the proliferation of so many titles

and ya i do think tank is really good, close to being as good as hyped. he has shortcomings with his record but that's not because he lacks the ability. i am pretty sure he'd beat everyone from 126-135, with the possible exception of teo

He'd smack loma around. Nobody talks about lomas weak ass resume the last few years. His love here is still strong. Hell Lopez had no shot because of his weak resume before he made loma suck his thumb. Resumes are for all time rankings, eyes are for picking fights.

To be fair I’ll take the knock there, you’re right . Shit is an unfair comment.

I think my frustration comes from him fighting something like 3 times in 2 years and thinking the “good” wins on his record whilst good wins aren’t the level of opposition you’d expect for him. Smith , Pedraza , Barrios - good wins but not for him (if that makes sense)

Gamboa was a good win, but he was 37 and not bringing anything to the party. Albeit still a good fighter.

The Santa Cruz fight rested on whether Davis could maKe 130lbs comfortably . If he did he’d win all day long and twice on a Sunday.

Few other good wins

he's a 3 division champ at 26 years of age ffs.

world champion since when? 2016?

he has easily 10 more good years ahead of him in the game.

of course people wanna see him fight taylor, prograis, lopez, haney, lomachenko or a couple of other fan favourites in tank's weight range they either think could pose a real threat or at least put up a goodfight.

you can't really say he wasting time if you look at his achievements at his age.

was he directed as safely as possible to titles in 3 weightclasses?

i guess yes, but whom else should've fought if you look at his last 5 opponents?

his team knows though it's time for a shift in gears putting him in the fights the fans demand.

he will knock out/beat everyone til' hopefully sooner than later the lopez showdown is inevitable.

be assured that after teofimo's trash talking tank himself would agree to fight lopez asap.

let the fighters decide whom they wanna fight next and 90% of all fights would be better & more competitive.

we would actually get the fights everybody wants to see, cause no real top dog is afraid of anyone. they all think they are the best.

let the boxers decide and all 'ducking' is history.

Will Tank be known for Floyd Mayweather.
Or will he be known for Gervonta Davis.
His reputation was built off defence.
