Re: Jerry Quarry vs Alexander Povetkin
I'd favor Quarry, by a decision.
He'd probably get cut during this type of
Bout though. I could see an even mixture of
Strategic boxing, brawling, and slugging.
So longs the cuts manageable, it goes the distance and Quarry by a 7-5 decision.

Re: Jerry Quarry vs Alexander Povetkin
Quarry was a very tough fighter, while he wasn't a plain brawler. Still Povetkin was better from a technical side. Maybe Quarry was a bit more multidimensional, but anyway it's impossible to imagine him avoiding the fight, which Povetkin would impose. Povetkin's offensive skills were better than Quarry's ones and Jerry didn't have enough defensive abilities to outbox such a dangerous aggressor like Povetkin. I see this fight action-packed with Povetkin getting better of the most of the exchanges. Quarry had a great chin, so he would stand his ground likely, although Povetkin could stop him technically, maybe on cuts.
Povetkin by close dec or late TKO.
