Moore could be more than 200 lbs, but in his best versions at HW he was around 198. Morrison had his best fights with a weight of 220-228 lbs range. Moore handled some solid HW fringes, while his biggest opponents, who were accomplished at HW, were Charles, Marciano and Patterson, who confidently won him. At his best, well-prepared and motivated, Morrison was clearly a one of the top HWs of his time.

Moore was a great fighter, a very tough one, but at HW it wasn't the best version of him. He wasn't that fast and sharp like at LHW. Morrison was faster than Moore and his explosiveness would be a real threat to Archie. The only things, in which Moore was clearly better, were stamina and chin, although Morrison definitely had the power to hurt and stop Moore.

Morrison could fight and he could box, despite he often prefered to overwhelm his opponents early. Morrison could break Moore down early with his speed, power and explosiveness, but there would be some chances for Moore to survive and outlast Tommy. If Morrison would perform like against Foreman, he would cautiously outbox Moore behind the jab and combinations, as he was faster and more agile. At some point Morrison could hurt Moore and develop the success.

I'd pick Morrison by moderately wide decision or stoppage at some point.

Don't underestimate Moore's campaign at heavyweight. Moore outclassed guys Bob Baker, Nino Valdes twice and Jimmy Bivins. Morrison had the power especially his left hook, but it would not do enough to stop Moore nor decision him as Moore's skills are too slick along with his power as he counter the Duke's power punches to take a decision or stop him in the late rounds. The only chance Morrison could catch Moore and cuts him off the ring and blasting him on the body to set him up with left hooks to decision Moore.

This outcome could vary dramatically.
The Morrison that fought and decisioned Foreman would likely win this bout. Likely by only a fairly close decision though. Whereas the Morrison that stayed extra aggressive against Mercer, would gas out and get himself Ko'd, just like Yvonne Durell did against Moore.

And the version of Morrison that swarmed Bentt would get Bent by Moore as well. Bottom line is,An Aggressive Morrison often stunk against anyone who was more than average, but was surprisingly effective when he was composed and paced himself patiently with a properly disciplined mindset.

Archie Moore had over 80 fights as a heavyweight. The man absolutely was a damn good heavyweight even though he was far better at 175 lb and 160 lb. They only heavyweights who beat him were Marciano and Patterson and Ali, and the latter can be excused because he was an old old man.

As much as I liked Tommy Morrison I have very little doubt that Archie Moore would have beat him either by decision or late round knockout.

Tommy Morrison would be too big and strong for The Ol' Mongoose. Tommy by knockout in 5
