10 or 12 Rounds Heavyweight Bout
Either Ribalta use his size, height and reach to out-box Cooper behind his long jabs and combinations to take a decision or late round stoppage. Or would Smokin Bert swarm all over the big Cuban with body punches and heavy bombs to the head to take a decision at best or late round stoppage. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Re: Heavyweights: Jose Ribalta vs. Bert Cooper
Ribalta is so underrated it's not even funny. Cooper was quite the spoiler. It would have been a hell of a fight. I will go with Ribalta by decision. Mostly because as much as I liked Cooper he was inconsistent with his performances.
Re: Heavyweights: Jose Ribalta vs. Bert Cooper
A tough call. Ribalta was better technically, but Cooper was very tough. Although Cooper was more inconsistent, as he could go at war agaist a much skilled opponent or quit agaist the other one. Anyway, Ribalta still wasn't an elite level fighter, Cooper could get to him. If Cooper was at his best, he would break Ribalta down.

Ribalta by UD.

Jose wins by UD. As Henry pointed out, tougher fighter, and Bert was too inconsistent.
