The answer is no way. Not mad at the judges doing their jobs for a change and the scores were actually too accurate for me if that’s even a thing. But there’s no way judges (paid off or not) would think Ugas did enough in that fight to have his hand raised against Floyd or Canelo. No, with those guys, their lungs have to be visible to judges.
Manny fought his balls off per usual and I think that a legend like that did more than enough to get the win. Too close to hand it to a counter puncher from Cuba that like his countrymen will continue to bore Boxing fans with his putrid output and pizazz.
Any chance Floyd or Canelo lose on the scorecards like Manny just did to Ugas?

If they fought at age 42 they would

Yes, if it was tonight at 147, they would both lose, possibly by KTFO.

Obviously, it's impossible to predict, how Floyd and Canelo would fight at the same age, but if it's a question, if Floyd and Canelo would lose on cards, where objectively they should win only a couple of rounds, I'd say "yes".
Floyd's arguable win over Castillo was a way more close fight than Pac-Ugas. The same with Canelo-Lara and Canelo-Golovkin. In each of those bouts Floyd and Canelo objectively won no less than 4 rounds. I gave Pac only 2 against Ugas.

The official 116-112 scorecards were a bit generous to Pacquiao for my liking. And the 115-113 scorecard seemed unreasonably close.caldo2025 wrote: ↑22 Aug 2021, 01:18 The answer is no way. It’s all academic though, because the right man won. And I also won some money, because I placed a bet on the massive underdog.
So everything is good!

To be fair, he still earns more than most fighters do.
As much as I hate those novetly events, if I was in his shoes, I'd probably do the same thing.
