Caleb Truax vs. Evgeny Shvedenko - IBF Eliminator

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Euro News

German Faecher Sports, headed by Christian Titze and Wolfgang Fahrer, have reached an agreement for an IBF eliminator at super middleweight between former IBF champ Caleb Truax (31-5-2) and Evgeny Shvedenko (15-0). Date and site will be announced later but the fight will go ahead in Germany during October, reports boxen1.com.

Shvedenko has been scheduled to take part in two previous eliminators but both fell through due to COVID-19. It was first against Aidos Yerbossynuly, who was infected just days before the fight and then Vladimir Shishkin, who tested positive while training in Tyson Fury's camp..

Man thats a weak eliminator showing 168 is still quite a weak division atm. Don't rate either of these two.

As Dan Rafael was the first to report, the IBF # 1 eliminator between Evgeny Shvedenko and Caleb Truax set for January 22 in Karlsruhe (moved from January 14 one can add) was postponed. Also postponed is the fight for the vacant EU heavyweight title between Evginios Lazarides and Jack Mulowayi.

However, the show is still in place and Facher Sports goes ahead with a somewhat trimmed down event with no crowd allowed and streamed live by BILD+. Middleweight Simon Zachenbhuber (14-0) square off against Maurice Morio (8-1) for the vacant IBF Youth title, Karen Chukhadzhian (19-1) vs Ryan Martin (14-2-1) in a IBF I-C title fight at super welter is still on and so is Andre Veliikovskyi (19-2-2) vs Rafael Bejaran (29-5-1) for the vacant IBO Intercontinental middleweight belt.

Also on the bill is heavyweight Sascha Zakhozhyi (15-0), who is in against Czech Pavel Sour.(14-6).
