Just wondering why the details on their 3rd meeting was changed from Harold Green suspended due to throwing the fight, to Graziano KO's Green with devastating right???
The first story was the one I always heard! My mother was a neighbor of Harold Green's and my father knew of him as well and had told me the story about their 3rd fight.
Just wondering? Maybe some new info was dug up after all these years???

It is great to have all the details of these great old fights even if we have no way of ever (anymore?) finding out what really may or may not have happened? The alleged dive for throwing the fight was what I have always heard about, but I had never heard of the riot started by Green after the fight. That's interesting! Maybe he did that to make the dive look authentic? I guess we may never know the truth anymore?

The riot was started when Green was knocked down, counted out, and immediately after being counted out he jumped up in tears and tried to attack Graziano. He swore that he was forced to take a dive and he was probably right as he had defeated Graziano twice before and this fight helped to get Graziano a shot at the middleweight title.
According to what I heard, Green didn't have good management and never got a shot at a title his whole career! You would think especially after the 3 fights they fought, Graziano would have given Green a shot? But I guess he really didn't hold the title that long before Zale took it back......
