• Evander Holyfield: Undisputed cruiserweight champion, undisputed heavyweight champion, four-time world heavyweight titleholder, 26 world title fights and only lost seven of them.
• Oleksandr Usyk: Undisputed cruiserweight champion, unified heavyweight champion, 8 world title fights and is currently undefeated.
I feel the 1996 iteration of Holyfield loses to Oleksandr Usyk, but I’d favour the Emanuel Steward version of ‘The Real Deal’ from 1993 to beat the Ukraine.

Re: The fantasy fight - Usyk (2021) vs. Holyfield (1996) ?
purely hypothetical.
but the prime iteration of holyfield of a couple years earlier who gave bowe all he could handle would just TRY to walk right thru usyk's feints and not fully commited output...
would he succeed? who knows?
we haven't seen usyk under a real onslaught yet.
briedis was highly competitive but not an all out war.
fully pressured by a highly skilled, no nonsense hard puncher boxer, testing his chin in every round, we don't know if usyk could withstand prime holyfield in beast mode.
usyk woould have to switch to the top gear he operated in round 12 versus joshua from the get go, that means full commitment to do damage to get holyfields attention.
what we know is that holyfield wouldn't hesitate, resorting to instant retaliation with extreme prejudice.

I said this on another post, Give hollyfeild 6 months of vada testing and im betting my hosue on usyk.
Fighters juice now, but they have to do it in a way to not get caught. 30 years ago though they could just keep injecting shit till there traps touched there ears... now those fighters were vsing others doing the same so its fair, but evander without a bit of special sauce would probably be 180lb...

I don't think Darth Vader or the Terminator is beating Evander in 96 let alone Usyk. He was so juiced by that point he was practically half man, half machine.
You could have hit him with a baseball bat all night and he would have kept coming.

Holyfield wasn't in absolute prime at that moment, but he was close to it. Usyk isn't untimately proven at the HW. For now I'd pick Holyfield.
