Press Release

ZACH PARKER will defend his WBO International Super-Middleweight title against Marcus Morrison at Utilita Arena, Birmingham on Saturday November 6, live on BT Sport.

The champion won’t just be risking his crown, but also his status as number one contender in the rankings for the WBO World title held by Canelo Alvarez when he faces Manchester’s Morrison.

Hall of Fame promoter allegedly is predicting fireworks when the pair clash in the Midlands on Bonfire weekend.

He said: “It’s a fight I am delighted to have made and it’s a contest that should bring out the best in both guys

“Zach is a Queensberry fighter and I believe he wins, but he needs to fight solid opponents like Marcus while he waits for his World title shot.

“Marcus knows this is another great chance. Zach knows that he will bring his best on fight night.

“Zach is one of the avoided men in the division, but the moment Marcus and his team knew there was interest on our side they moved quickly. They believe they can spring an upset.

“I believe fans in the arena and BT Sport viewers will see a fight between two guys who have ability and ambition.”

Parker (21-0, 15 KOs) will be making the second defence of the title he won with an impressive stoppage of American Vaughn Alexander in march.

The Neil Marsh managed boxer made it five wins on the spin in July when he knocked out Sherzod Khusanov in the first round.

Former Manchester City player Morrison (24-4, 16 KOs) has seen his career kick on since July 2019 when he travelled to Italy and upset former European champion and World title challenger Emanuele Blandamura in nine rounds.

In May he took on Chris Eubank Jr and pushed him all the way before going down on points after ten rounds.

Massive Stoke-on-Trent ticket seller Nathan Heaney (13-0, 5 KOs) will meet Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Sladan Janjanin (30-8, 23 KOs) for the vacant IBF Intercontinental Middleweight title.

British and Commonwealth Super-Middleweight champion Lennox Clarke (20-1-1, 8 KOs) has his first fight since his title winning upset win against Willy Hutchinson.

Scotland’s former World Youth amateur champion Hutchinson (13-1, 9 KOs) has his first fight since losing his unbeaten record against Clarke and faces Westbury’s Anthony Fox (8-13-4).

High Wycombe Lightweight Henry Turner (5-0), Northampton Super-Lightweight Eithan James (6-0) and Dublin’s Willo Hayden (1-0) all box six rounders.

Atherstone Super-Lightweight hope George Bance (2-0) and Telford Bantamweight debutant Raheem Muhammed are in four round action.

Another bad show.

These are acceptable if you’re putting on loads of shows but one poor nextgen show in September, one average show in October (last weekend’s) and this so far for November.

At least Boxxer are putting on a higher quantity of shows - it seems BT are just in it for PPV income.

Frank was talking about the show and he made reference to the night demonstrating the finest talent in the world at Supermiddle across the Canelo PPV and his Birmingham show.

TBF, the nextgen type show he did was actually very entertaining with decent matchmaking & good young prospects.

I agree with the rest of what you said.

It was fine for a NextGen show. It had one fight on the show where both guys were trying to win (the main event) whilst the vast bulk of the undercard was prospect vs journeymen. I certainly didn’t think it was very entertaining.

I’d have had no issue at all with it if it was in addition to some other non-NextGen shows.

I'm fine with this fight :TU:

I rate Parker and believe he has world class potential.

Morrison went up in my estimation despite losing his last fight against Eubank jnr.

Looking forward to it TBH. It's decent domestic 10 rounder standard or a reasonable British title fight, just a shame Parker let the Lonsdale belt go.

Press Release | Bentley vs. Evans

FORMER British Middleweight champion Denzel Bentley will return to action at Utilita Arena, Birmingham on Saturday November 6, live on BT Sport.

The Battersea man, 26, will face Wednesbury hopeful Sam Evans (10-1-1, 3 KOs) in a non-title ten rounder.

Bentley (14-1-1, 12 KOs) who hasn’t boxed since losing his title against Felix Cash in April said: “It’s just nice to be back.

“I was meant to box last month, but the fight never happened and when we got offered this fight I took it right away. I am always in the gym and ready.

“I am pleased it’s an opponent like Sam because he will let his hands go and should be full of ambition. I don’t want full camps for knock over jobs.

“Sam knows that if he can get past me he’ll be right in the big title picture, but I can’t allow anyone to eat from my plate again. I can’t wait for this fight.”

Woodville’s Zach Parker (21-0, 15 KOs) headlines the talent stacked card and defends his WBO International Super-Middleweight championship against Manchester’s Marcus Morrison (24-4, 16 KOs)

The champion won’t just be risking his crown, but also his status as number one contender in the rankings for the WBO World title held by Canelo Alvarez when he faces Morrison.

Massive Stoke-on-Trent ticket seller Nathan Heaney (13-0, 5 KOs) will meet Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Sladan Janjanin (30-8, 23 KOs) for the vacant IBO International Middleweight title.

Also in eight round action is exciting Southampton hope Ryan Garner (10-0, 6 KOs) who goes in against Portugal’s Pedro Manuel Gomes (9-1, 2 KOs).

In another eight rounder Irish Welterweight prospect Dylan Moran (15-1, 6 KOs) returns after almost 12 months on the sidelines.

Scotland’s former World Youth amateur champion Willy Hutchinson (13-1, 9 KOs) has his first contest since losing against Lennox Clarke in a British and Commonwealth Super-Middleweight title fight in March and faces Westbury’s Anthony Fox (8-13-4) over eight rounds.

Northampton Super-Lightweight Eithan James (6-0) and Dubliner Willo Hayden (1-0) are both scheduled to box six rounders.

Telford pair, Super-Lightweight Macauley Owen (1-0, 1 KO) and Bantamweight debutant Raheem Muhammed are in four round action.

It’s embarrassing. I like Parker but he’s been matched poorly and in no way is ready for a world title fight against Canelo.

So does this mean that Cacace, Lennox Clarke and Dennis McCann have all been removed from the show?

I don’t know why?

That poster was the very first original poster that was used.

Dennis McCann has had a bereavement so is on the Yarde/Arthur bill.

Anthony Cacace has hand problems.

Lennox Clarke was replaced by Bentley.

Cheers. Wonder what happened with Clarke. They haven’t taken advantage of his win over Hutchinson at all.

I’ll be watching Boxxer/PrizeFighter.

I think Lennox pulled out injured - think he's had the issue since the Hutchinson fight. Its a shame his momentum got
derailed - I hope they can get the Chelli fight on early next year.

Yeah - hopefully he can get on a run in the new year. I feel the same way about Felix Cash - looked great against Bentley but then hasn’t been out since (apparently some sort of family issues) so his momentum has completely gone.
