First thing I always think of with Briedis is that bizarre farce he got away with against Glowacki. But yes, he's a difficult matchup, including for Usyk. They should rematch at heavyweight.

Should be looking to fight Okolie then move up, he's ticking on in years. Needs big fights immediately or his chance at heavy could pass by.

Briedis is a cool guy. A simple Latvian police officer, who started his fighting career as a kickboxer, then turned to pro-boxing without advanced amateur run, but he appeared to be a very good boxer. He definitely could make some noise at HW and still can. He's a one of the greatest cruisers of all time, follows Holy and Usyk easily.

Wasserman could do Hrgovic vs Breidis for an IBF eliminator. But they may prefer both get a shot.

Briedis says, that he was willing to try a HW run, but his team wasn't able to find any big opportunities, cause all top contenders expressed a desire to wait for a shot, while the rematch clause madness is taking place at the championship level.

guess he'll try to unify at cruiser. easier sadid than done, i know.

maybe then he can get a shot at a heavyweight belt?

if he doesn't get any top heavy to fight him, what else can he do?

usyk surely won't just give him the rematch after he beat joshua the 2nd time, he got bigger fish to fry.

Breidis isn’t underrated.

And Chisora did better against Usyk at heavyweight than anyone else Oleksandr faced.

Styles makes fights.

Briedis should of moved to heavyweight right after usyk beat him. He would be a handful for the everyone.

Getting a bit old for a real building run now, so unless wasserman offer him hrgovic strait up he mabey better off trying to go undisputed at cruiser, then jump up with that shine and try get 1 or 2 last night fights

Not everyone is going to have a successful transfer to a new division. I think back to the war that James Toney had with Vasily Jirov, but Jirov wasn't able to have success at heavyweight.

Marco Huck, Steve Cunningham, Jean Marc Mormeck, etc--- I can name many examples of guys who were good or great at cruiserweight but failed as heavyweights.

Some people are great for a time, and I'm thinking Briedis was great against Usyk because it was the right place and the right time. That time has passed.

If he were to put on 15, 20, 25 pounds he most likely would be worse off than he currently is. Not everybody can cross over. Maybe he can but I think it makes more sense to stay at cruiserweight and do his own thing rather than pursue Usyk.

If he beat Okolie he'd have the WBO strap then could get a WBO title shot like Usyk? Joyce hasn't been confirmed mandatory he's just ranked number one I believe.

100% underrated. He should be easily a p4p fighter right now, but while I don't put much emphasis on Ring, I don't see a lot of people including him in the p4p conversation. On top of that, while Chisora gave Usyk a tougher fight than Joshua, Chisora won maybe 3 rounds on my scorecard.

Saying what you just said is just plain bias as I scored Usyk/Briedis a draw. Comparing that to the Chisora fight and saying "styles makes fights" is just so misleading. We're talking about a thin margin that you can score for Briedis and won't leave a terrible taste in anyone's mouth while scoring Usyk/Chisora for Chisora or even a draw is laughable.
