Re: Heavyweights : Pinklon Thomas vs. Anthony Joshua
It's possible to see it going either way. Thomas had a better jab, he could make Joshua uncomfortable with it. He had enough power to hurt him in the exchanges. Joshua is probably more variable, he can time good power punches, so it's possible to him him catching Pinky and hurting him badly too.

prob couldn't hurt him, pinklon had a great chin

Unless Thomas had a off night (always a possibility) he would win this fight fairly easily. He was a better at just about everything. Joshua was not at his level.

A tough match to gauge in my opinion. Thomas was good but he lost to Tyson and Holyfield, Bowe and Morrison, and Berbick & Hunter.
I can see Joshua getting the jump on Thomas and hurting him early and getting him out of there, but I can also see Thomas popping that jab that was so effective against Tyson too--- it would be a pretty fun fight but I don't know how to pick the winner.
It's easy to crap all over Joshua because of Ruiz and Usyk, and Thomas is not much different than other heavyweights from the 1980s who looked good at times but when they were bad they stunk up the place.

a 'right' Thomas would win an easy UD or late stoppage. I always wondered how good he might have been.
