He said a fight with JCC is close.
Probably sign with Matchroom. One fight deal?

Really good boxer, Can’t take to him though. A real 50-50 fight if it comes off classic boxer vs puncher
Re: Sunny Edwards now a Free Agent
I think he beats Martinez. Maybe hanging on at the end.
Re: Sunny Edwards now a Free Agent
There are good fights for him at fly.
It's not like he has cleaned out the division or anything.
JCM is probably the money fight.

Re: Sunny Edwards now a Free Agent
him, jcm, nakatani are contenders for top dawg, with their own solid claims to being the best. ppl seem to sleep on nakatani for some reason but he's good and a bit of a physical beast at 5'7 (3-4 inches tallerr than the other 2) and big frame, and power to go with it. jcm is a bull with lots of power and tenacity, sonny is much less powerful than the other 2 but obviously got dem skills. its a good mix
in the ideal fantasy world, they do a 4 man tournament with dalakian added in. dalakian is handy but not as good as the others imo and rather protected

That’s where I am. It’s a really good fight but I can’t warm to Edwards.smiling assassin wrote: ↑05 Jan 2022, 18:41 Really good boxer, Can’t take to him though. A real 50-50 fight if it comes off classic boxer vs puncher

Seems a little harsh on FW - particularly with it being just after he brings over the world champ for Sunny.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Jan 2022, 18:34 He said a fight with JCC is close.

Probably the right decision though. A fight against Martinez is great and Eddie has other top fighters in and around the weight division too.

It makes his injury pull out look even less convincing.

'My adviser Daniel' making the fight with Eddie I see.

Bt making an announcement withdrawing their gushing praise of Edwards as a pundit on previous shows?

Re: Sunny Edwards now a Free Agent
I listened to an interview with Sunny with Boxing Kingdom. It was a good listen as they asked him questions that people would be interested to hear the answers of.
Asked him why he left Frank - said there was no issue but Frank didn’t have any fighters in his stable that he wanted to fight and they would be difficult to make.
Asked whether he was ever paid late - said never, was always paid in full and in one case paid early.
Asked whether he’d join Eddie - said maybe but would feel like joining the enemy.
Far more inter testing that we’d have got from IFL.

I watched the interview with Boxing King and it was absolutely fascinating. Sunny a very thoughtful and intelligent speaker. So much better than 99% of interviews I've seen.maverick23 wrote: ↑15 Jan 2022, 03:51 I listened to an interview with Sunny with Boxing Kingdom. Agreed. I never particularly liked Sunny but that interview made me like him a lot more.garethhop wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 09:42I watched the interview with Boxing King and it was absolutely fascinating. It made a really nice change having an interviewer asking interesting questions rather than Umar who fluffs the boxers/promoters and the others who won’t ask tough questions as they don’t want to be banned. It genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if FW heard about the interview and blocked Boxing Kingdom from his shows.

Sunny Edwards has signed his next fight.
“ accepted my side of things to fight [Jesse Rodriguez] next,” Edwards tweeted alongside a picture with his new promoter Hearn. “Let’s see who’s really [a]bout what.”

Think Rodriguez is moving back up to Super Fly after Saturday even if he wins the strap at Fly, pretty sure it was Edwards who said that
Edit- how the heck is my writing like that?
