I don't know about that. Randy's chin was one of boxing's best at the time. The great Thomas Hearns could not knock him out clean. Neither the toughie Pipino Cuevas.

Both fighters hit much harder than Aaron Pryor. I think that Randy Shields could win this one by a close margin.

Hearns didn't knocked Shields out, but he retired him by making him quit after 12 rounds. Anyways, Pryor would swarm all over Shields, knocks him down and stops him on his feet in 10 rounds.

I think Randy Shields lost by a cut stoppage. The thing was that the great Thomas Hearns, as hard as he could hit, couldn't hurt Randy.

With Hearns, if you pass the 5th round with him, the less likely he will knock you out.
