Lightweights: Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker vs. Hilmer Kenty

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Lightweight Bout

Sweet Pea would use his speedy southpaw jabs, counters and combinations from long range to out-box the taller Kenty to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?

I think Pernell wins a close 15 rounder. He definitely would not want to engage Kenty, and his experience would help him in a 9-6, potential 8-7 type fight.

Sweet Pea UD, something like 145-140. Kenty was fun to watch, but hittable for somebody as quick as Whitaker

The great Pernell Whitaker would have used too many angles to confuse a straight-forward fighter like Hilmer Kenty. Sweet Pea would have been too slick.

Whitaker by UD on all cards. He beats Kenty every day of the year and twice on Sunday.
