I would say these were the top boxers in the "Pound for Pound" category.

1st tier. ------ Sugar Ray Robinson, Marvin Hagler, Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Salvador Sanchez, Carlos Monzon, Charley Burley, Eddie Booker, Mike McCallum, Mike Gibbons, Jimmy McLarnin, Benny Leonard, and Tony Canzoneri.

2nd tier. -------- Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Harry Greb, Johnny Famechon, and Sandy Saddler.

3rd tier. -------- Roberto Duran, Willie Pep, Henry Armstrong, and Eder Jofre.

Who would you say are the top boxers in the Pound for Pound category? Why?

Roberto Duran in the 3rd tier should never be in my estimation.

What he did on the night of February 24, 1989 was a something for the ages.

In my view, only Henry Armstrong, Sugar Ray Robinson and Sam Langford were better than he. That's it! Everybody else comes behind him. What a fighter! Incredible and extraordinary to say the least.
