I’ve been reading about Tony Ayala Jr. and his boxing career, and it’s fascinating how his life took such drastic turns. What do you all think led to his ups and downs? I once followed a fighter whose career was similarly impacted by personal issues, and it made me wonder about the pressures they face both in and out of the ring. Any insights?

He was a bad dude in is youth. I remember he fought in the National Golden Gloves at I think was age 16 at the time and stopped everybody in the 1st round. Too bad he went off the rails and became a pos.
