Probably a good move for Parker. Crazy though for Warren as Joyce has been strung along with Parker for several months now. Frank essentially announced it at the Fury fight and then recently spoke about it happening in September.

Post Dubois, Joyce has been handled extremely poorly.

BOXXER, the exclusive provider of boxing content to Sky Sports, today announced the signing of former world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (30-2, 21 KO’s) to an exclusive long-term promotional agreement.

The former WBO heavyweight champion entered the professional ranks in 2012, having represented New Zealand at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and narrowly missed out on a place in the 2012 Olympic squad.

His impressive mix of technical boxing skills and knockout power quickly carried him up the rankings and into world title contention, culminating in his winning the WBO World Heavyweight Championship in 2016 and holding it for two years.

Currently ranked #4 in the world by Ring Magazine, #2 by the WBO and #3 by the WBC, Parker’s presence in the upper echelon of the heavyweight ranks has never been in dispute.

Now just 30 years old, the New Zealand power-puncher can look forward to a renewed assault at world heavyweight championships under the BOXXER and Sky Sports banner.

“This is a massive signing for BOXXER. Joe Parker is one of the best heavyweights in world boxing and we are delighted to welcome him to the team. Every ranking body has him high in their list and now he’s entering his prime, we look forward to taking him back to world title opportunities and some huge events here in the UK,” said Ben Shalom, BOXXER CEO and founder.

I think they’ve probably promised PPV fights with him as the PPV A-side. Again this signing makes me think AJ is going to DAZN because I think Sky must be thinking who’s good enough to headline som PPVs now. Im not sure how it’ll work unless they’re able to get Whyte over for a rematch. Parker/Bakole is a really good fight but it’s not a PPV headliner.

I've been impressed with Parker's manager. He wins more tricky battles than Parker does.
This signing has to be good. Parker has made a lot of money so far considering.

Yeah Shalom made it seem like this was a unique and v marketable signing.
Is he looking for a fight to put on PPV since there’s nothing in the pipeline and none of his stable are remotely close to that.
Khan/Brook was a one off event… I’m sure they want other options for PPV. Joe isn’t one of them so god knows what’s the plan

If Wilder comes back, PBC will pay him many millions to fight Kownacki or Ruiz if he beats Ortiz. Parker fight has a minimal chance of happening at best. Parker against Bakole/Helenius/Wallin isn't the big money fight that his team would be looking for, and it's not PPV. Hughie-Hunter winner probably isn't PPV either, and they'll be fighting Dubois/Helenius first I'd have thought. Just seems like Parker's jumped the gun here. Whyte II is the obvious option; I'm not paying for that, and I'm not sure many would either.

after getting robbed of the gold, i really wanted to see joyce press on and do well. he would have been a handful for anyone i feel. but his careers just sunk hasn't it? gutted for him. wonder what he's earned.
