Wilfred Clements’s record is 78 wins 8 losses, also Albert Macdonald of Canada who fought Wilfred, his record is also about 70 wins. Boxrec has both fighters record that says 0-1. It says they only had one fight. Wondering if we can get that fixed

Hello, my name is Shawn Clements grandson of Wilfred Clements. Back in the 1930's record keeping wasn't what it is today especially in a small area like Cape Breton Island and now getting close to the century mark for article research but I do have several articles of Wilfred defending his professional Maritime Lightweight title in 1936 by 4th round knockout and another by 9th round knockout, as well as his Canadian Boxing Hall Of Fame induction certificate from 1976 in Toronto listing him as Maritime Champion and a title eliminator article for Stevie "Kid" Macdonalds Maritime title early on in his career in which he knocked his opponent out in 4 rounds. I also have the article for his close decision loss to Bobby Allan which is the one recorded on this site at Glace Bay Forum. I do have several nice writeups by reporters who visited him in his later years stating his 80 fights, 70 wins, 4 losses and six draws one of articles stating he knockout out 7 opponents in one tournament including Irish Johnny Lifford of New Brunswick.
