So, their kids has fought each other recently with Morrison scoring the stoppage win in the 5th round after being behind on cards.
How do you see it with the dads? Both in prime, 12 rounds.

2 Fantastic sluggers with questionable chins.
This could go either way. But 3 out of 4 time Morrison knocks Hasim out.

Re: Hasim Rahman vs Tommy Morrison
Either Rahman and the Duke would split in the 4 fight series where they each won by a KO. Either the Duke puts Rahman out with a big left hook early from rounds 4 to 8 or Rahman would use the jab to wear the Duke down and knocks him out late in 10 to 12 rounds with a devastating right hand.
Re: Hasim Rahman vs Tommy Morrison
Yeah I think so too. He was usually more fluid with his offense, and a little more versatile with his combos.tiny_acres wrote: ↑13 Jul 2022, 11:08 2 Fantastic sluggers with questionable chins.

Rahman had a solid jab, and a hell of a right hand. He'd catch Tommy now and again, but overall Tommy was better.
Re: Hasim Rahman vs Tommy Morrison
Gotta go with the majority. When two explosive, but vulnerable punchers meet each other, the faster and the more explosive one prevails most often. Morrison definitely edged with that.
Tommy by kayo in about 6.

Re: Hasim Rahman vs Tommy Morrison
As crazy as it sounds, Tommy Morrison is a little overrated on Boxrec, while Rahman is somewhat of an underachiever. Morrison has some good names among his wins, but they were all past it when he beat them. Can't see Rahman losing to a guy who was stopped by Michael Bentt and struggled with Joe Hipp, so I'm going to say Rahman in about 5.

Re: Hasim Rahman vs Tommy Morrison
The two men have a few opponents in common:
Lennox Lewis
-Morrison stopped in 6
-Rahman KO5 win, Rahman KO4 loss
Ross Purrity
-Rahman WD
-Morrison Draw
Tui Toia
-Rahman KO1
-Morrison KO3
Marshall Tillman
-Both had KO1
Morrison's best win of course is George Foreman (W12) but wins over Hipp, Ruddock, and Williams were solid. However Rahman had far more high profile matches against the likes of Tua, Ruiz, Toney, Sanders, Klitschko, Holyfield, and Maskaev.
Both men were hot and cold in their performances. So it's a hard fight to determine. That being said, I think it would go much like the Rahman-Maskaev bouts where Rahman leads until sometime in the later rounds he gets caught with something spectacular. That is if both men brought their A game.
