Yeah - but you don’t have to pay an additional month’s subs for it. You join and then pay £9.99 I think.

They do it in the hope that people don’t cancel afterwards.

Yeh. It’s £18 for non-subs.

So you have to sub and then add the PPV. You get the month.

May as well sub tomorrow then cus you’ll get the month.

If you already subs you just pay the £9.99..

I’m currently un-subbed.

When I go on the app, it says I need to sub for £7.99 then add the PPV as an add on for a extra 9.99.

DAZN said there would not be PPVs for subscribers.
Then there were PPVs.
Then they said this fight would not be PPV.
Now it is PPV.
Glad I cancelled. F*ck 'em.

Ditched it as soon as they said PPV. It was a fairly cheap sub for mainly average content with the hope of some decent occasional top fights to justify the overall outlay. If they're asking to pay extra then it becomes pointless to subscribe.

That's partly because there is nothing else on there to watch - Bocksnaytion had Bunce's Boxing Hour and those long studio sessions alongside Lillis and Jones which were absolute quality. Dazn is woeful by comparison for analysis and content outside fight night. Still look back fondly on those mad Russian shows in the afternoon!

It's a shambles, never subbed, never will. I saw another thread before about the different prices around the world £18 here but in the US $85! Are they considerably richer than us?

Do you have to watch the show live or can you watch it whenever?

Yeah that is the PPV price for a first time subscriber, I just cant believe they are willing to pay that much

Suppose in America it's a numbers game with that population. 500k buys is 42.5m revenue. Crazy if you pay for that alone and not in a group.

Its rediculous - I didn't subscribe to Dazn as I just not a fan of streaming, so perhaps I am not the right one to talk about it. However, Eddie's tone has changed so much in recent times over this - its gone from "PPV is dead" then it was "Dazn will not go PPV", then it was okay "Joshua needs to be on PPV but it will be a lot cheaper then other PPV channels" now its "Eubank Jnr vs Benn is the biggest fight in the UK" and now he is defending the absolute rip off price of GGG vs Canelo in the states by comparing it to Martin vs Ortiz. Yes, Martin vs Ortiz was a rip off but come on we are in an effing financial crisis - can't he see how much he is ripping off fans by going with the coin and DAZN. He categorically week in week out slated the price of US PPV - now his model are charging the same amount - and its on a shitty little stream and with very little additional extras to justify it.

Sports Fans / Boxing Fans aren't going to ditch a broadcaster who has offered the biggest free UK fight (well non PPV) IMO since the DAZN take over- Eubank vs Williams, the biggest non heavyweight domestic PPV - Khan vs Brook and the biggest global PPVs also - Joshua vs Usyk 1 and 2. Plus he makes bullshit accusations about BOTH GGG vs Canelo fights being on PPV - yes fight 2 was, but fight 1 was FREE for allegedly subscribers - it was just there for non subscribers and weirdly non subscribers could subscribe for a month and get the PPV included and it was cheaper than getting the PPV alone.

The coverage is shocking compared to the pomp of allegedly and we cannot say "well its £1.99" anymore.

I wasnt gonna buy it until I saw this thread as I thought it would be £18 or whatever. But as I have DAZN it cost me a tenner. Not gonna stay up for it but will watch next morning. I have no interest in any undercard fight either.

I feel DAZN is decent value….. I cannot believe the US PPV prices some are like 80 dollars…madness

But those of us who refuse to pay for the PPVs are in the extreme minority so the likes of Eddie doesn’t give a **** about us, as we dont affect his bank balance

DAZN is good value, they’ve also got Triathlon which I’m into, and other extreme sports which are interesting. Re boxing they’re expanding with Canadian promotions too.

I cancelled when i saw they had no less then 3 ppv’s lined up 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Haven’t paid for a ppv in years and wasn’t about to start here.

When you look at where edward was a few years ago at sky compared to where he is now i think you’d have to say it was a bad move jumping ship.

Without any premier league rights i’m predicting a setanta type capitulation in the next 18/24 months especially if canelo now goes elsewhere and big meech gets ironed out in december (if it happens).

They can get stuffed i'm not subscribing then paying for a PPV. Will just stream it instead.

These jokers launched on the BS premise that streaming was the future and PPV was dead. They knew all along that was just a lie they were feeding the public to try and con them into subscribing.
