old news and all that but i have only just watched million dollar baby and thought it was class. i expected a rocky like ending but was surprised by the finish. Thought all the actors were good and it definately deserved them oscars. it was more realistic than the average boxing film

have it on dvd, need to watch again but first watch i thought it was very good... if it had the rocky ending it would never have won the accolades it did

*****WARNING****** A SLIGHT SPOILER COMING UP *************

I must be the only one who was disappointed in it. I heard such good things about i possibly being Clint's best film ever and obviously the subject matter appealed.

I thought the way she was blowing all her opponents away with once punch Rocky style was silly and she would have blown away Lucia too if she hadn't used WWF techniques while the ref had his back turned. Also the gross charicatures of her family and Morgan Freeman taking out the gym bully just served to remind me that i was watching Hollywood film and preventing me from feeling involved and caring about the characters.

I should watch it again without the expectation and perhaps i'll have more favourable reaction.
