When you realize, how similar the wishlist of the previous year looks infront of the current one, you start to think, how sh1tty the sport of boxing has become.

My list just keeps getting shorter and shorter each year because I just don't care anymore about certain things.

Crawford vs Spence could fight in January, and I just wouldn't f*cking care anymore. There is an expiration date for fights.

And honestly because of their reluctance to fight each other. I don't care to see 'em fight anybody at all. I can't imagine there's a Crawford or Spence fight left that could interest me at this point.

In each division:

Heavys: Joshua-Fury, Ruiz-Wilder, Dubois-Whyte, Joyce-Bakole, Anderson-Wallin, Ortiz-Makhmudov

Cruiser: CBS-Opetaia, Riakporhe-Makabu (and then hopefully a unification), Goulamirian-Dorticos, Thompson-Clarke

LHW: Beterbiev-Bivol, Callum Smith-Buatsi, Azeez-Arthur, Craig Richards-Yarde, Zurdo-Smith Jr.

168: Benavidez/Plant winner against Morrell, Mbilli-Akhmedov, Lerrone Richards-Parker, Ryder-Munguia (unless he's staying at 160)

160: Janibek-Eubank Jr, Munguia-Charlo, Adames-Charlo, Sheeraz-Bentley, Cash-Ammo Williams

154: Fundora-Harrison, Garcia-Castano

147: Spence-Crawford, Ennis-Thurman, Ortiz Jr-Stanionis, Cissokho-Giyasov, McKinson-Marku

140: Matias-Ponce, Prograis-Lopez, Ritson-Davies

135: Haney-Lomachenko, Stevenson-Ortiz (winners fight), Martin-Cruz, Cully-Maxi Hughes

130: Navarette-Valdez, Cordina (if he beats Rakhimov)-Barrett, Cacace-Carroll

126: Wood-Lara, Conlan-Lopez, Wood-Warrington, Ramirez-Vargas

122: Inoue-Fulton

112: Edwards-Martinez

Unapologetically UK-centric focus on these, I'll admit

Would be terrific, but I highly doubt Frank and Bob are going to throw their respective fighters in at the deep end like that. That's a potential unification down the line I suspect. Difficult one to judge, because I've never really seen Anderson in much adversity. Don't rate his defence much I must say, but he seems like he needs to take a few to flip the switch. Think we know more about Dubois, he seems a bit more methodical, again concerns about how well he can take a punch & a good finisher.

I can't get excited about any Dubois fight. He looks pedestrian to me.

I have no excitement for Spence vs craw, but I assume it would return heavily fight week and fight night.

But it is not the fight it once was that’s for sure. It use to be clear 1 vs 2… but I don’t think they are clearly above boots anymore.

Boots is going down a scary path of inactivity himself. Fought less than 10mins toatal in the last 20 months…

Next year I would wish every heavyweight in the top #25 to be in at least 3 meaningful fights each.
Not asking for much, this sort of thing was common last century.

I guess I’ll just put wish for a night or 2 with Margo Robbie…

Last year I would say…

Fury had 1.
Usyk had 1
Aj 1
Ruiz 1
Joyce 1
Wilder 1
Whyte 1
Ortiz 2 wow
DDD? 0? 1? 2? Hard to say.
Parker 1
Chisor 2
Pulev 1? 2?
Bakolie 1
Sanchez 0
Otto 0
Yoka 1
Mak 1
Hrg 1
Demi 2
Heli 1
Gassiev 0
Wardly 1
Kow 1
Zhan 0
Zhang 1….

So when the top 25 is averaging about 1 meaningful fight then wishing for 3 is v ambitious….

How dare you Greg3!
How very dare you burst my Christmas wishes bubble.
It was 3 ir more fights a year for the top 25 guys last century, so it is doable if they weren't overpaid princesses who want the easy road.
