Just Cancelled DAZN
Just Cancelled DAZN
I signed up to DAZN in November or December, simply because there was a British card i wanted to watch (can't even remember which one).
Having not watched it since, I checked their website to see if they had anything coming up and was instantly hit with a large promotional poster for KSI versus FaZE TeMpEr.
I mean, wtf is this shite!? Boxing has had many damaging promoters over the course of history, but Eddie Hearn might just be the very worst.
RIP Boxing, it was fun.

He has his own deal with DAZN.
Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
Can say I’m slowly weening myself off successfully from boxing and feel happier because of it.
fornicate it; the sport is fucked beyond and comprehension for me now.
Btw I cancelled DAZN over 12 months ago.

Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
I cancelled a while ago too, out of principle for the introduction of unnecessary PPV. I might decide to occasionally resub for an odd month in the future if the schedule is particularly good, but that certainly hasn’t been the case so far.
It’s a bit of a joke channel as it stands, they desperately need to obtain rights for more sports asap, or I can’t see why anyone would ever keep it long-term. Just not enough content.

Yep, I've just cancelled it as well mate for similar reasons.Ricky wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 07:37 I signed up to DAZN in November or December, simply because there was a British card i wanted to watch (can't even remember which one).

My subscription has gone from 19kr to 149 kr, so about £12.50
That's a 700% increase
I'm cancelling. F them, F them straight to hell

I kept mine after they increased it to £7.99.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 08:30 I cancelled a while ago too, out of principle for the introduction of unnecessary PPV. All the way til December 2021. I only cancelled because there was nothing scheduled for Jan/Feb 22.
I always thought I would re-sub, but never bothered. Just streamed the events.
I probably would hve cancelled sooner than that, but schedule was decent and would rather have watched in proper HD.
Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
I cancelled a while back when they went down ppv route. Would have resubscribed for Warrington but was in middle of Workd Cup so missed his first fight in ages. Will subscribe for Wood v Lara though, if they announce some other fights I'll keep going, if not will chop it.
The big problem with Dazn is that aside from actual fight night, there is zero watchable boxing chat or discussion at other times. Makes it easy to cut out, whereas Bunces boxing hour made bocksnation unmissable even without any fights

It's 26p per day. Personally, I think it's worth it.

Misfits have taken over. They will be given priority over real fights. They’re sold out tonight at the same arena a p4p star is struggling to half fill next week.

You don't have to watch it. I don't.mickey1975 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 09:27 Misfits have taken over. They will be given priority over real fights. They’re sold out tonight at the same arena a p4p star is struggling to half fill next week.

Yeh, resub the day before the fight, so you get at least 30 days from there..veriton wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 09:08 I cancelled a while back when they went down ppv route. Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
It would take a lot of me to cancel as I watch all things boxing but there are limits, I binned Sky a couple years ago because their prices take the piss, luckily I've got iview on my Android which gives me sky sports
As for the misfit, YouTube crap, it's not boxing it has zero relevance to the actual sport of boxing, I watch every boxing show going and have never seen a misfit card or Jake Paul or whoever the fck, it's soccer aid for boxing, I love seeing it boil piss I must say
There's a lot to still love about boxing, More undisputed champs than even since the 4 belt era but there's no doubt boxing deserves to be overcast by Only Fans models and spotty little virgins, too many fighters have no interest in fighting the best and far too much inactivity to keep any momentum going

Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
I'm not sure that's correct. I think you have to give 30 days notice so you are billed an extra month but you can watch the channel still. I cancelled my DAZN a while ago.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 10:45What??
how much??
Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
If you don't give 30 days notice , i.e. cancel as soon as you subscribe you get caught for another payment for the next month when you cancel. I paid £3.87 when I cancelled after the Whyte fight towards another month

If your renewal date is 13th and you cancel on the 1st of the month.
It cancels, but you can still view until the 13th.

Not really a cancellation fee, you just have to give notice and you can watch it for the extra month. I guess lots of people were signing up to watch one fight and then cancelling so it cuts back on that.tony1234 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 11:12If you don't give 30 days notice , i.e. cancel as soon as you subscribe you get caught for another payment for the next month when you cancel

I stuck with it, but bailed out a few months back.
Trying to sell Benn as a PPV star when he has won nothing of note (semi retired fighters dont count) was the point of no return. Never say never, but as of now, the Uk schedule doesn't cut it for me to resubscribe.

Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
They reported on the KSI fight on the news yesterday and showed him doing a workout, they said they couldn't say where it was as the venue would be swamped by fans. Apparently most going or watching the fight aren't even boxing fans. It's crazy really, I don't understand why they are so popular and it's a joke they are earning so much money from it. Saying that who can blame them but it makes a mockery of the sport.handsofstone wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 09:58

Re: Just Cancelled DAZN
If you add the cost of all the PPVs into that ("there will never be any PPVs") it's more like a 7000% increase!!forcefraser wrote: ↑14 Jan 2023, 08:53 My subscription has gone from 19kr to 149 kr, so about £12.50

I cancelled 14 months ago. Price increase + every half decent fight is PPV, stuff that.
