Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
12 rounds.
Re: Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
Moorer could outbox Lyle, but with Ron's punching power and delivering abilities it's barely possible to imagine Moorer hearing the final bell.
Re: Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
Ron takes out Michael between 5-7 rounds.
Re: Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
I feel like Moorer is ouboxing Lyle and ahead when he gets knocked out somewhere between the 7th and 10th.
If it takes that long.
Moorer would have to fight a perfect fight to avoid getting bombed out by Lyle I think.

Re: Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
The only way MM would beat Lyle was out-boxing him on the outside behind his southpaw jabs, left hands and right hooks to take a decision, but if Lyle caught him like comeback Foreman did, then he would knock MM out after landing good jabs, combinations and a big right hand in the late rounds even under the 15 rounder.

Re: Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
Tough call. Ron Lyle is one of my favorite heavyweights but I tend to think that Michael Moorer is often overlooked or underrated by people simply on the basis of his performance against George Foreman. He went a combined 20 rounds with Holyfield so I can see Moorer going the 12 round distance and squeaking out a decision. Just a bit too fast for Ron Lyle.

Re: Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
He had a glass jaw. Sooner or later, Lyle probably would have taken him out.
Re: Michael Moorer versus Ron Lyle
Lyle could hit and at times he stuck to a terrific 'boxing' strategy. (see vs Ali).
Lyle was too good for Moorer. Lyle by KO 6-9 rounds.
