Morrison is probably too physical strong for Patterson, and likely takes him out in the first 5 rounds. If he don't I can see Patterson outhustling him, and doing increasing damage to him down the stretch.

Both were aggressive punchers with vulnerable chin, so it's easy to see either connecting a money punch. Morrison would have more chances early, if he used his superior physique properly, Patterson would have more chances late, if he survived the early onslaught. Quite 50-50-ish. It could have been about the same intense trilogy, like Patty vs Ingo.

Yeah it's all a matter of if Patterson could make it through the first half. If he does it becomes a much tougher fight for Tommy down the stretch because Patterson does have him bit in terms of overall skill and speed and stamina and all that. So if he can get past Tommy's early rounds onslaught, his greater skill might ultimately win the day.

Patterson would use his quicker hands to hit the Duke with good outside combinations most of the time to take a decision.
