As much as I love Roberto Duran I have to concur with this because some men just have your number no matter what. As great as Willie Pep was for example he could do virtually nothing against Sandy Saddler. As great as Sam Langford was he could do virtually nothing against Harry Wills. As great as Joe Frazier was he could do virtually nothing against George Foreman.

That being said I think it goes without saying that Roberto Duran had the far greater career or far greater resume than Tommy Hearns. He just simply couldn't beat Tommy Hearns because Tommy Hearns, in part, was practically a giant in those weight classes.
