David Tua vs Hasim Rahman. After the bell KO..........

Post by vatech1983 »

Their first fight in which Tuas was credited with a Ko was controversial. The punch that landed after the bell was significant and played a role in ending the fight. Should this bout have been declared a no contest? The punch was indeed after the bell? How did the state boxing comission not rule on this? Please post............ :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

It's kinda of ironic that both of their fights have one of these moments.

Rahman also became the only man to ever knock down David Tua in their rematch...about 1 or 2 seconds after the bell.

Anyway, Rahman avenged this with dropping Tua after the final bell of the rematch.

In both cases I don't feel like it was a flagrant foul. It was just in the heat of battle, and the shot got fired a beat too late. Sh*t happens.

I remember Rahman's interview after the Tua rematch pretty well actually even though it was a rather dull fight.

rahman shoulda got 5 minutes recoverry time and if he wasnt able to continue it should've gone to the cards, huge shot that obviously f@cked him up in a fight he'd been winning handily

Tua is a god to men, he's allowed to punch any time he damn well wants.

Rahman's was the only one at the time it happened. The Barrett fight was quite a while later, but yes you are correct.
