Press Release

KSI accepts his hardest challenge to date by taking on undefeated pro boxer Joe Fournier on May 13 at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, live on DAZN and DAZN PPV.

KSI’s return to the ring headlines MF & DAZN: X Series 007, the latest instalment of the crossover boxing series.

KSI enters the ring having spectacularly KO’d Faze Temper in one round to claim the Misfits Cruiserweight title earlier this year, however, the ‘billionaire’ businessman Joe Fournier will provide the mega star with his toughest test yet.

Fournier is 9-0 as a pro fighter, knocking all nine opponents out. He once went the distance with former heavyweight world champion David ‘Hayemaker’ Haye in an exhibition contest.

KSI said: “I can’t wait to show the world what Jake Paul couldn’t, knock out a pro boxer. Each fight, people are seeing a better KSI and I’m honestly scared for Fournier because once I land my right or left hand on his chin, it’s night night. As soon as people enter the ring with me, they realise they are in hell. And they either leave the ring bruised, battered or sleeping. In the ring, I am an evil man.”

Joe Fournier said: “This is huge, it’s as big as it gets, it’s on DAZN pay-per-view at Wembley, against one of the biggest global superstars, not just in boxing.

“But I am going to break a lot of little hearts when they see KSI unconscious on the canvas. This is way too soon to fight me, but the deal is done, and just like Jake Paul, he will find out that when he gets into the ring with a real boxer, it’s a whole different ball game. He is in for a rude awakening.”

Mams Taylor, Co-President of Misfits Boxing said: “Here we go! What a fight and what a night of crossover boxing this will be. KSI against Joe Fournier is huge, it’s mammoth and it’s guaranteed to deliver a night that London will never forget.”

Kalle Sauerland, Co-President of Misfits Boxing said: “Both KSI and Joe Fournier are coming for one thing, and one thing only – the knockout! London, get ready for a massive night of Misfits action and make sure you buy a ticket or tune-in because, make no mistake, this is the hardest test of KSI’s career to date.”

Joseph Markowski, CEO DAZN North America said: ‘KSI vs. Fournier is a fight you will not want to miss. Our third PPV of the X Series is guaranteed to bring all the action and even more unforgettable moments live on DAZN PPV May 13’.

Joe Fournier referring to himself as a real boxer  the man is a Walter Mitty character. Claimed to have had an international basketball career, claimed to have a string of successful businesses and somehow bought a few boxing wins in obscure locations...

Fq me.
Fournier keeps referring to himself as a ‘real boxer’ despite buying wins in Dominican Republic and accepts that he is, ahem, ‘9-0’, meaning that he accepts the removal from his record of the contest in which he ‘won’ a belt as he was supposed to be serving a drugs ban.
As I imagine most people on here feel, this stuff shouldn’t be in any of the boxing sections.

He is far from that, has potentially left a trail of debts. I read somewhere a while back that he lives in a tiny flat in Dubai, it's all smoke and mirrors. He's a Walter Mitty character.

This fight will do much bigger numbers and be much better financially for DAZN in the UK than either of the two you mention.

I think Haye fell for it. All the photos of them together are in posh places with loads of hotties- David's favourite things.

Joe Fournier promises KSI will be "twitching on the floor" in brutal warning

Joe Fournier has promised to leave YouTube star KSI "twitching on the floor" when he knocks him out in their pay-per-view fight on May 13 in London.

Fournier is 9-0 as a professional boxer, and has previously held a ranking with the WBA at light-heavyweight as well as an international title. He is viewed as a major step up in competition for the UK's biggest social media star, who has previously faced YouTubers, rappers and a journeyman fighter as a short-notice replacement.

KSI has been taking to social media to show off his intensive training, while Fournier appears to still be enjoying his life in Miami, taking in the nightlife after training during the day. However, that hasn't deflated the Londoner's confidence, and he believes that it will be a dominant win in their Wembley meeting.

"This is as big as it gets," Fournier told the Misfits Boxing YouTube channel. "It's pay-per-view at Wembley, five minutes from where I grew up and it's against one of the biggest global superstars in the world right now. That's not just in boxing, but in music and social platforms.

"I'm the bad guy because I'm going to break all those little hearts when they see him on the canvas unconscious, twitching on the floor after being severely, severely hurt by me. Then I'll really be the bad guy and I'm going to have absolutely no fans, but there it is."

Fournier insists that he has taken a poor deal for the fight, that includes an intense weight cut to 180lb and a 10lb rehydration clause as well as unfavourable amounts of tickets. He also claims that his payout wouldn't fund his private jet travel to and from his home in Miami to the bout.

Disagree.
It IS boxing.

I watch Prem, Intenational and UCL footy, I also watch Aberystwyth Town vs Connah's Quay.
