Boxing Social Presents Fight Night Live In Glasgow On April 14

Boxing Social is proud to announce Fight Night Live – a series of shows representing the best up and coming talent in the UK whilst bridging the gap between the buzz of small hall shows and the thrill of arena events. The first card will take place in Glasgow on April 14 at Glasgow Boxing Academy.

Topping the bill is heavyweight Nick Campbell, who made history last year by competing for and winning the first Scottish Heavyweight Championship fight in 71 years.

That seventh round stoppage in Glasgow was followed by a first career loss against Steve Robinson, and Campbell looks to return to winning ways come April 14. With five stoppages from five wins, he promises to deliver an explosive main event.

Boris Crighton (10-1, 7 KOs) will look to continue a four-fight win streak in the light heavyweight division. Hailing from up the road in Aberdeen, the hard-hitter will look to deliver an eighth stoppage victory in front of his home crowd.

Crighton was last out against previously undefeated Matt McCallum, handing the English fighter his first loss in the ninth round.

Undefeated super welterweight, Uisma Lima (9-0, 7 KOs), will grace the ring following a first round knockout of Ruben Angula in Cardiff in February, with local fans likely to be treated to another blink-and-you’ll-miss-it performance.

Local boy, Aston Brown (3-0), will continue his middleweight champaign after representing his country in the amateur ranks. 147 pounder, Craig MacIntyre (13-0-1, 5 KOs), also from Glasgow, will face Middlesborough man, Tom Hill (10-3, 2 KOs).

Super Lightweight Gerard McTaggart (1-0), who had his maiden victory in October of last year, will feature, as well as a debut from super middleweight, Ryan Clark.

Boxing Social’s Managing Director, Jack Shaw, promised that the fight night series would be a boost for small hall boxing in the UK.

“This will cement Boxing Social’s commitment to supporting professional, small hall boxing in the UK and will see some of the best fights in the UK shown live on a global platform.”

“Fans can expect to see a range of title fights, including British, Commonwealth, English and Area title showdowns. It will help transform the small hall boxing scene in the UK and Boxing Social is ecstatic to be a part of making that happen.”

It seems as if whoever wrote that at Boxing Social has forgotten about the Lyndon Arthur fight Boris Crighton had in his last fight :-?

I fi d the way this has been advertised quite strange. It's all presented as being Boxing Social's event, but as far as I'm aware they're a media outlet, not a promoter, . There's no general way for buying tickets, everything I've seen just says to co tact the boxers and that article is the first time I've actually seen the venue named. Any adverts on Facebook just say the event is in Glasgow.

Very strange. Hopefully the show will be profitable but I doubt it
