What should Witter do now

Now he doesn't have a chance of getting the fight with Gatti immideatly I believe Witter needs to keep busy when his hand is better I would like to see him in the ring with as many other top opponents as possible as if he dose that then he will have much more of a case to fight Gatti when he is looking for another opponent.

In my view he can probably get about 3 fights in the next few months befor Gatti starts looking again. Who dose everyone think he should fight?

Now he is linked to Oscar De La Hoyas promotional outfit lets hope he does keep busy against some good USA fighters and continues to build a good reputation state side.

well if he want to fight the winner knocking branco out would be a good idea, something which i believe witter would do with ease.

I don't know that KOing Bronco allone would get him the fight in terms of making money Witter would also need to fight someone else of noat to be considered worthy (think Urkal Tacky or someone of that ilk).

Branco has already blatantly ducked Witter twice. I really dont think he is keen on fighting him.

Witter appears to be in a half-way house position with the WBC right now.

After Gatti and Mayweather have fought, the mandatory position will go to either Branco or Witter and I suspect Witter will replace Branco sooner rather than later as Branco doesnt seem to interested. Thus a title shot would appear within touching distance.

However the WBC could do what they did with Eastman and fornicate Witter about, making him wait over a year for his title shot or even keeping Branco above him, despite Branco having already had his title shot and having refused to fight Witter.

If Witter plans on sitting on and keeping his ranking warm, he may find himself waiting a long time. But he does have the advantage of Golden Boy Promotions backing him, which gives him some weight.

Vivian Harris has the WBA belt, would it be worth Witter trying to get a crack at him (although I appreciate Harris probably wouldnt want nothing to do with Witter)?

It's pretty safe to say that With DLH behind Witter, he will get the oppertunity to fight for a title.. probably the WBC and probably on HBO, as they LOVE Oscar. Larry Merchant is in love with Oscar.

Harris or Cotto I would go for, I think he has a great chance with both. Cotto should really move up to 147.

Taking on and beating Cotto would be a brillant scalp on Witter's record, although every American would claim that they knew Cotto was only a over-hyped prospect at best (but fornicate the yanks anyway).

The only thing with fighting Cotto is that he holds the WBO, which would basically put Junior out of the picture with the proper titles and keep him out of centre stage.

Witter in my opinion seems intent on winning a proper world title and just as important, he seems adequately equipped to have a real good go!

*Bob Arum handles Cotto, and Arum on Monday was reported to have said that DLH took the cowards way out against Hopkins. Politics, fornicating shite!

I think since Witter and Harris are looking like the odd men out at this point, they should fight each other. As far as Witter beating Cotto, let's just hold on and see how Witter does in his next few fights. This is the same man that ran track against Zab, beat Love who never wins the big one and has like 10 losses, and faced really bad comp over in the UK. At least that's how I see it.........

Beating branco would cement his place at WBA mandatory though, thats the only way he'll get a title shot, cant see the titlist bein too interested in fighting him. Low reward, high risk.

Lets hope DLH can make it happen.

ONE loss against Judah, a fight he took on VERY short notice and lost 166 112 on one of the judges scorecards, (I agreed). He knocked Ndou down twice, something cotto or Mitchell couldn't do.

Give the man credit.

I thought the fight was a little bigger than 116-112, but I guess everyone sees different things during a fight. He did knock down Love, but overall, I think he has fought a loooooonnnngggggg list of bums, with a stepping stone fighter in Love. I'd like to see him get a few more good fighters under his belt before everyone starts talking about how great he is........
