I Can only see Morales winning this one.
Was surprised how easily Marquez was able to out box Paq from range after an awful start.
Morales is taller, longer armed and more powerfull than Marquez and has underrated boxing skills.
Don't think it is a good move for Paq going up to 9st 4, being a former flyweight, can see Morales having over a stone on him come fight time.a
I see Morales adopting the Marquez tactics and boxing Paq at range, obviously being Morales he'll mix it up at some point, but will surely get back to his boxing and make all his advantages count.

I really do not know, I lean towards Morales - perhaps via a stoppage. He has a higher workrate than Marquez which might affect Pac.

I reckon Morales with mash Pacman. There are only so many weights you can climb before it gets too much.

I appreciate that Pac handled Barrera with ease, who is not of dissimilar build to Morales. But as the old cliche goes "a good big-en will always beat a good little-en".

Morales wins on points or late stoppage IMO.

Morales is the sharper puncher, but Manny has got speed on him, and that was Erik's downfall in the 3rd Barrera fight. It's a pick 'em IMO

That's how i see it too. The big difference in the 3rd MAB fight was the speed. Morales simply had no answer for it. And Manny's twice as fast a Marco.

But Morales will tag Manny more than once and when that brings out the warrior in him Erik can take him out.

Ironically perhaps Morales may feel he has more to prove and be hungrier.
Manny may feel like the star and be a little too cocky. He needs to fight like he did versus MAB and not Marquez. Fast flurries and lots and lots of movement.
Manny on points or Erik by stoppage. I don't know which.

By the way does anyone know which channels this is being broadcast on live?

I'm getting twitchy about the thought of not seeing this live. I'm thinking flying over to Germany or somewhere Saturday afternoon staying watching it in a sports bar and flying back Sunday morning.

If i can get a group together i might contact the Sports Cafe nr Picadilly Circus to persuade them to show it and stay open until it's finished.
Would anyone be up for that?

I'd be up for that Shirow, although I wouldn't fancy your chances too much.

I've got Pac-Man winning this one on points without any controversy. Morales has never been that difficult to hit and he'll be made to feel uncomfortable with the pace Manny will set.

If Morales pulls this off it'll be a great win but I can't see it.

Manny's speed and movement will give Morales problems. It's ok for Morales facing fast guys who don't bang, he just walks them down and smashes them up. However, if he tries to walk Pacquaio down like that, he'll be riding right into the teeth of a gale.

Viasat sport 3 in Denmark are showing it live, and probably Canal + France, Premiere Germany and Filmnet Sweden.

You can pick some of these up over here, but you'd need a card to unscramble signal. I doubt Sportscafe would be up for that...

Typical, fight of the year and the bums at Sky are showing it a week later.

fornicating pisses me off. I can't think of any other sport where a contest of this significance would not be picked up. Sucks, bigtime. What exactly do I pay my sky subscription for.

All I wanted was a fornicating sports package, yet I have to pay over 400 quid a year because you have to order lots of other channels you don't want. And the big fights I DO want to see either cost extra, or I don't even get to see them at all...fornicating crap. I've lost count of the number of big matchups I've missed over the years. Didn't even get to see Hopkins v bloody Trinidad.

Just get rid James, you can sign back up if things improve. I mean what live quality matches are coming up for us apart from Ricky v Tszyu and possibly Klitschko v Rahman?

I bet Trinidad v Winky won't be shown. I'm not totally blaming Sky but I've never quite accepted the fact that we missed Tito's comeback fight last year, it was one of the biggest events in boxing and for whatever reason us loyal subscribers were denied yet again. My all round enthusiasm took a major dent over that, and has still to recover.

If you cancel Sky Sports, you'll still get to see Tszyu/Hatton, if you want, as it'll be PPV no doubt.

Their policy seems to be: pay us monthly and we'll give you no end of WBU mismatches every week, but as soon as a really good fight comes up live - that'll be another £15 please.

Or ' we'll show the fight a week later, when you already know the result!'. WTF! It's like saying 'Chelsae played Barca last night, so we'll show it a week next thursday'.

In that case it shouldn't be too hard to find the fight live on an internet stream.

Only downside is having to be awake at 4am to watch it.

But yeah I do agree we pay through the nose already for Sky and should get stuff like this live, or at least replayed on a Sunday morning so we can get up and watch it without knowing the result.

The problem I guess is the sums of money they are shelling out to pay the domestic fighters who get showcased. Doesn't leave them enough to pay out for big international fights, but surely they could afford delayed telecast? Maybe they just don't give a fornicate.

I don't really understand the economics of it all to be honest, it's something of a mystery as nobody ever really knows what the deals between promoter/network are like.

In football the amount they pay for rights is in the public domain. In boxing very little is in the public domain because they are essentially private contractual arrangements.

Like I said, I'm not going to automatically blame Sky for not showing every fight out there, but the current situation is turning me off boxing more and more. There's no thrill in watching a fight you already know the result of, whether it's on delayed broadcast or some trader copy. It's curiousity value nothing more. And that just isn't enough for me.

I'm on to the Sports Cafe but they were checking and haven't got back to me yet.

I don't understand how it works. Is it totally impossible for someone with a big enough dish to get every American channel?
Does a UK broadcaster have to arrange for it to be shown here or can it just be picked up with the right equipment/decoder?

I believe that HBO is a Cable channel rather than satellite but i know for instance that in Bermuda they get American TV by the dish.

It does piss you off. Sky get a cut of the licensing fee, then your Sky basic package payments, then your Sky Sports channel payments, then your PPV payments and on top of that the PPVs are full of adverts and sponsorship. No wonder Murdoch is a multi billionaire.

I've finally made the move to cancel. Boxing is my single biggest reason for keeping Sky. I'm a sucker and i'll pay what they tell me to to see the big fights but if i can't even see them live they can fornicate off.

Boxing Torrents is back up now anyway...

Bermuda is a lot fornicating nearer America than we are. Bear in mind that the curve of the earth is probably going to get in the way if you are in the UK. Sattelites only broadcast along a certain band, they cannot cover the entire planet or even a whole hemisphere.
