Razor Ruddock versus Joe Bugner
Razor Ruddock versus Joe Bugner
12 rounds. 1970's version of Bugner.
Re: Razor Ruddock versus Joe Bugner
Bugner could turn this into a competitive losing effort, but no better. Ruddock probably wins on the scorecards by a wide margin.
Whenever Bugner fought someone world-class, strong, and dangerous, he defaulted to his defensive shell. From there, he'd prioritize staying safe and wouldn't throw many return punches. Razor Ruddock had the size, physical strength, punching power, and skill to put Bugner in this position.
Joe's strategy ensured that he was never hurt or hit much. But at the same time, it conceded all initiative to his opponents, who'd win the rounds on aggression alone.
Another possibly - although less likely - is that Bugner has one of his better nights, and boxes more assertively than usual. Even so, he still loses the decision, but by closer margin.

Re: Razor Ruddock versus Joe Bugner
I think Joe pulls out a close one by UD. If he manages to nullify Razor's punching.
