The age is another issue though.

Crawford might not have another 4 years in the sport and he almost certainly won't if he spends them jumping through another 3 weight classes

There's a bit more too it that them being the same height
Some people have naturally bigger frames.

And sure Terrence might not need to weight cut because he could easily eat up to 165 and would enter the ring around that weight.
And he's be a 147 athlete carrying some fat.
Canelo would be a natural 165 man, who could cut until he was 165lb of shredded muscle then rehydrate till he outweighs Terrence by 20lbs+.

Terrence might have more skill but lets not forget we had Canelo p4p no1 little over a year ago

Jumping 3 weight classes to fight a p4p rated fighter, who is already known for being a weight bully and taking advantage of rehydrating, one who has campaigned at 175 at world level. That's just daft

No definitely not. That's why I say it needs to be down the road. If Crawford and Canelo ever fight. It needs to be Crawford's retirement.

May not be Canelo's, but win or lose, it should be Crawford's retirement. Because as you say it'd be inadvisable for him to get back down to a lower weight again, and it'd be a bad idea for him to keep fighting other big guys like that.

But for Canelo the Cash cow, it'd be worth the risk, and a good send off fight for him.

Canelo is smart enough to avoid bad style match ups. It's why he never unified at 154 or 160, would have had to fight Andrade. I don't think he'll fight Bud. No win situation.

He's like 35. he's fully grown. 154 would be the heaviest at this point he can be while still being effective and that's not 100%.

In boxing terms, not money terms, it would be more reasonable for Crawford to fight Josh Taylor, Teofimo, or Jermell. Or perhaps he could fight each of them individually, and we can hope for the business of the sport that one of them is able to take his torch.
