Places in Liverpool showing Usyk

Post by deadpan »

I’ll be in the centre on Saturday comedying. Can anybody recommend somewhere decent showing the fight please? Ideally not a massive Walkabout type place. Many thanks!

Give yourself a plug, mate!

Anyone in Liverpool should go and see him. He is funny. Weird. But funny.

Are you playing Hot Water?

Give me a minute to think, cos I think I’ll actually be watching it in town myself, I’ll edit this with a list of places in a minute

My favourite is Hope & Anchor, loads of big projector screens and still a medium sized bar and not like loads of loud music or too busy.

Very unfortunately not. Rural Buckinghamshire. An endless landscape of agriculture, Tories and racists.

I make the trip up occasionally to see friends and family - tour of the old hangouts, The Blake, The Sheaf, The Brothers, The Washington, The Bath Hotel, The Cremorne, The Gardner's Rest... Always comes with the inevitable hangover that you can only cure by getting the fresh air of Kinder Scout or Derwent Edge.
I always loved that about Sheffield. Great pubs and decent folk, with the peaks on the doorstep.

Moved down here for the wife's job - London commute.

I'd be back in a heartbeat, but uprooting the kids from their friends and education, making my wife jobless and leaving my own job for the benefit of decent pubs and the Peak District is, apparently, selfish. :maybe:

I'll win in the end, but it'll take a good 15- 20 years.... If I live that long.

You have regular nights in Sheff, still? Let us know if you're gigging down Milton Keynes/Northampton/Aylesbury!

Weirdly I’m in Liverpool on Saturday night - a birthday treat for the better half.

She doesn’t mind boxing, but not sure I could convince her Usyk-Dubois should be involved in the schedule.

Comedy on the other hand…… where are you performing?

Who are they? I imagine there will be footage of their act somewhere online I can watch. I can then decide whether I find them funny and weird or not.

Great selection of Sheff boozers. Hope all is well in Bucks. The Bierkeller gig returns in Oct at their behest. I hope it's a good decision.
