Clarke v Allen

Post by jameswilson »

https://youtu.be/oaDBasnvOX8?si=1iIuBUDY5tyuUJUM

Thought it deserved its own thread as there’s a touch of controversy with the low blows.

I thought the low blows he got warnings and points for were legit low blows. There was then another I thought was low after he had the points taken off that he only had a warning for which I thought was odd he didn't have more points off.

Aside fr9m that I thought he dealt with Allen easily and I had him winning every round before you Takam the two points off.

Thoughts on the fight and the refereeing?

Clarke should've been disqualified. Allen would've been had it been him who did the same.

It was a total waste of time, Clarke isn't suited to the pro ranks and Allen needs to stop.

Once again this fight just shown the disdain these promoters have for British boxing fans

Allen's shorts were constantly worn low exposing the full protector

That's all I have to say about this toilet bowl of a fight.

Some still think Clarke would beat Wardley?

I don't think he beats Wardley.

I think Dacres 120-108s him.

I think given how poor Adeleye has looked Clarke v Adeleye is a pick em.

Allen is the most over exposed fringe British title contender I can think of.

Complete waste of time, although I suppose Clarke did get a few more rounds under his belt.

Admittedly Clarke isn't setting the British heavyweight scene on fire, but he's definitely in the mix at British title level.

tbf to Allen he was back training Joe Hayden on the Monday.

He does not take any money off Joe for training or managing him.

Might not scale the heights as a boxer, but a good human being imo.
